We are looking for a QA Tester with at least 12 months' experience to join our super talented Games team in Brighton.
You will work directly with the development team and other testers to implement efficient QA processes.
The QA Tester will be able to analyse development roadmaps, schedules, and sprint goals in order to determine the best test plan and determine what to test in relation to development prioritization. As well as applying hands-on QA testing, the candidate will support and manage the needs of other QA testers in the team.
Responsibilities:
· Run test cycles on a per sprint and build release basis
· Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices
· Oversee administrative aspects of software testing including establishing metrics and reports
· Develop and execute test cases, plans and procedures
· Diagnose defects and track them from discovery to resolution
· Partner with engineering teams to stay informed of new technologies and new features being introduced and to ensure that system components are designed for testability
· Develop deeper technical understanding of our development processes and products in development
· Respond to all requests from team members in a timely and professional manner
· Support other QA team members
The ideal candidate will have:
· 12 months' experience in the software quality field including prior hands-on quality engineering experience
· Ability to develop and execute test cases, plans and procedures to support various development methodologies
· Familiarity with the software development life cycle and test cycles; Sprint deliveries, Function and feature testing, Systems and backend services, Deployments and differences therein, User accounts, Stress & scale, Smoke & sanity checks
· Understanding of different format testing procedures, and deployment
· Understanding of existing QA best practices and methodologies to design, implement and automate processes
· Understanding of Jira and available tools for issue management
· Experience coordinating with external QA resources and supporting QA resources within the team
· Detailed and effective written communication skills for documenting the features tested and bugs found
· Highly organised, detail oriented, extremely responsive and able to prioritize a large number of tasks
· Self-motivated, works well independently and with other
. Jira or similar database experience
. Git source repo tools (Bitbucket, Sourcetree, etc)
. Testrail, Confluence and automation Tools
