This Quality Engineer role focuses on ensuring quality assurance and testing of platform transitions and migrations within the Issuing business. The role involves developing and maintaining test documentation, driving quality assurance with consideration for test data and environments, executing various test activities including functional, API/UI, performance, and accessibility testing, and leveraging automated testing tools. The engineer will also coordinate integration testing, represent the QA team in Scrum meetings, estimate testing efforts, and provide clear reporting to stakeholders.

Good To Have:

Experience in switch testing (e.g., BASE24, BAE24 EPS, ACI UPF).
Knowledge of cloud-based systems in QA environments.
Exposure to continuous integration and DevOps practices.
Experience in performance and accessibility testing.
Open mindset with the ability to innovate and influence cross-functional teams.

Must Have:

5+ years of QA/testing experience with expertise in functional and regression testing for web and mobile applications.
Experience with defect tracking systems and test management tools (e.g., JIRA).
Strong understanding of issuing business within payments and cards.
Hands-on experience with transaction switches, payment systems, and e-commerce.
Experience in QA of issuing products and certifications with schemes like Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and JCB.
Ability to conduct QA testing using simulators and mock environments.
Familiarity with automated testing tools and Agile delivery practices.

This Quality Engineer role is an exciting opportunity to join the Issuing business, focusing on ensuring quality assurance and testing of platform transitions and migrations. The role is central to a critical transition journey involving transaction and terminal switches, requiring a strong understanding of payment systems, cards, and integration with multiple systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless transitions, migrations, and ongoing enhancements to issuing platforms.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain test documentation, including Test Strategy, Test Plans, and Test Cases/Scripts.
Drive quality assurance with consideration for test data, environments, and non-functional testing requirements.
Execute test activities such as functional testing, platform upgrades, API/UI testing (browser and mobile), performance testing, and accessibility testing.
Adopt and leverage automated testing tools for efficiency and coverage.
Coordinate integration testing, certifications, and ensure quality of final delivery.
Represent the QA team in Scrum and project meetings as the single point of accountability for testing.
Estimate testing efforts, monitor execution, and provide clear reporting to agile leads and stakeholders.
Produce test documentation, reports, and contribute to Agile ceremonies by creating and maintaining user stories.
