Job Description

As a Release & Build Specialist, you will manage builds and CI/CD pipelines across mobile (iOS/Android), PC, and console platforms. This 6-month contract role involves collaborating with PROD and engineering teams to design and automate workflows, maintaining code and asset repositories, and enhancing CI/CD pipelines. You will also act as an interface with Release Management teams for public deployments and ensure high-quality releases by working with QA and QC teams. This role offers an opportunity to gain AAA production experience and enhance build automation skills.
Must have:
  • Manage builds and CI/CD pipelines for mobile, PC, and console platforms.
  • Collaborate with PROD and engineering teams to design and automate workflows.
  • Configure and maintain project tools: repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and ticketing systems.
  • Maintain and organize code and asset repositories.
  • Ensure best practices, clear stream separation, and proper propagation of fixes.
  • Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines to streamline build and release processes.
  • Ensure availability of client builds and server environments.
  • Monitor build systems for constraints such as storage, versioning, and bandwidth.
  • Act as the interface with Release Management teams for public deployments.
  • Collaborate with QA and QC teams to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Work with leads to define development environments and provide training/support.
  • First experience in build and release engineering, DevOps, or similar roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Perforce (Helix Core) and Git.
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux, macOS build environments.
  • Experience with mobile (iOS/Android), console, or PC build pipelines.
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of server environments, Kubernetes, Helm.
  • Familiarity with game engines (Unreal Engine, Unity).
  • Comfortable working autonomously and collaborating with multiple teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for games and learning new technologies.
  • Able to manage and integrate large volumes of game data efficiently.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Release & Build Specialist, you will manage builds and CI/CD pipelines across mobile (iOS/Android), PC, and console platforms. This is a 6-month contract role with high visibility—your contributions will directly affect game quality and player experience.

This role is ideal for engineers who want to gain AAA production experience, enhance their skills in build automation, and work closely with senior teams in a live AAA environment.

Workflow & Automation

  • Collaborate with PROD and engineering teams to design and automate workflows tailored to project goals.
  • Configure and maintain project tools: repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and ticketing systems.

Repository Management

  • Maintain and organize code and asset repositories for mobile, PC, and console builds.
  • Ensure best practices, clear stream separation, and proper propagation of fixes.

Continuous Integration & Deployment

  • Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines to streamline build and release processes.
  • Ensure availability of client builds and server environments for development, QA, and testing.
  • Monitor build systems for constraints such as storage, versioning, and bandwidth.

Release Management & Collaboration

  • Act as the interface with Release Management teams for public deployments.
  • Collaborate with QA and QC teams to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Work with leads to define development environments and provide training/support to production teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

Technical skills :

  • First experience in build and release engineering, DevOps, or similar roles (AAA or software background).
  • Hands-on experience with Perforce (Helix Core) and Git.
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux, macOS build environments.
  • Experience with mobile (iOS/Android), console, or PC build pipelines.
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
  • Knowledge of server environments, Kubernetes, Helm is a plus.
  • Familiarity with game engines (Unreal Engine, Unity) is a plus.

Behavioral Skills:

  • Comfortable working autonomously and collaborating with multiple teams.
