Job Description

The RF Hardware Engineer is responsible for the comprehensive design and development of wireless communication systems, including WiFi, Bluetooth, UWB, cellular, and antenna solutions. This involves integrating software, firmware, board, and silicon components while prioritizing customer needs and implementation constraints. Key duties include defining system architecture, leading design and analysis of components, ensuring optimal performance and reliability, and delivering end-to-end technical solutions. The role also involves analyzing and recommending improvements for wireless infrastructure and collaborating on next-generation requirements.
Must have:
  • Design and develop wireless communications connectivity (WiFi, Bluetooth, UWB), cellular, and/or antenna systems and solutions.
  • Integrate software, firmware, board, and silicon/SoC components with focus on customer requirements and implementation limitations.
  • Responsible for systems architecture and definition, translating business opportunities into use cases and product specifications.
  • Lead design, analysis, and implementation of component level choices for integrated wireless systems.
  • Define systems implementation and integration approach for optimum performance and reliability.
  • Deliver end-to-end technical solutions, deploy, execute benchmark tests, and prepare documentation.
  • Conduct analysis and make engineering recommendations for wireless infrastructure reliability/resiliency.
  • Monitor utilization and plan continuous process improvement for wireless systems.
  • Make recommendations to cross-functional teams on resolving wireless systems issues (E2E, MAC, PHY, RF, antenna).
  • Collaborate with teams to analyze next-generation requirements and influence research in wireless systems.

  • Responsible for the overall design and development of wireless communications connectivity (WiFi, Bluetooth, UWB), cellular, and/or antenna systems and solutions that integrate software, firmware, board, and silicon/SoC components with specific focus on customer requirements and implementation limitations throughout the systems lifecycle.
  • May also be responsible for systems architecture and definition, including translating the business opportunity into use cases and developing the product architecture and specifications for required hardware and software needed to deliver system requirements.
  • Leads design, analysis, and implementation of component level choices across the integrated wireless systems on performance, features, and cost including analysis of risks and emphasis on ease of use, reliability, security, availability, maintainability, sustainability, and quality.
  • Defines systems implementation and integration approach and plans to ensure optimum performance and reliability across hardware and software that comprise the system.
  • Delivers end-to-end technical solutions to solve customer problems, deploying solutions, executing benchmark tests, and preparing documentation.
  • Conducts analysis and makes reliable engineering recommendations to ensure reliability/resiliency of the wireless infrastructure. Monitors and reports on utilization and plans continuous process improvement.
  • Makes recommendations to cross functional teams on resolving wireless systems issues including E2E, MAC, PHY, RF and antenna.
  • Collaborates with other teams to analyze next generation requirements and opportunities and may influence and guide research and academic collaboration in the space of wireless systems and solutions, including proof of concept and solutions beyond current industry approaches.

Qualifications:

  • BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and strong understanding of PCB design schematics and layout.
  • Knowledge and hands on experience of RF circuit design and optimization.
  • Knowledge of RF simulation tool like HFSS 3D Layout, SI wave.
  • Experience in Intel platform design is a plus.
  • Strong communication, partnership and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
