The Custom Solutions Team focuses on the design and development (RTL to GDS) of high-speed, low-power IP (mini-macros) for various SoC sub-systems. This role offers an opportunity to be involved in the complete ASIC design flow, understanding RTL design of IPs and supporting their integration across multiple chips. It requires close collaboration with SOC integration teams globally on specifications, development, and front-end views including RTL, CDC checks, Synthesis, Simulation, Low Power Checks, and DFT.

Good To Have:

Familiarity with front-end design flows (synthesis, formal verification, static timing analysis, CDC)

Must Have:

Understanding RTL design of IPs and supporting integration
RTL Design validation (CDC, Synthesis, STA, Formal/functional verification, Lint)
Digital logic design (Data path and FSM)
Verilog or System Verilog coding
Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of ASIC design/verification experience
Master's degree and 5+ years of ASIC design/verification experience
PhD and 4+ years of ASIC design/verification experience

General Summary:

To support its growing needs, we have a Custom Solutions Team for design and development (RTL to GDS ) of various highspeed and low power IP’s (mini-macros) which are used across different sub-systems in SoC.

In this position, you will be an integral part of CST team with the opportunity to experience the entire ASIC design flow. This position involves understanding of RTL design of IPs and supporting them across multiple chips. It also requires close collaboration with SOC integration teams (across different time zones) on specifications, integration, development, and support of front-end views (RTL, CDC checks, Synthesis, Simulation, Low Power Checks, DFT, etc.) for these Soft/Hard-Macros.

Job Responsibilities:

Understanding the RTL design of IPs and supporting them in integration across different sub-systems
RTL Design validation in terms of
- Clock Domain Crossing (CDC) check
- Synthesis and Static Timing Analysis
- Formal and functional verification
- Lint check of RTL
- Power domain crossing checks
- Power aware simulation
- Design for Testability (DFT) checks
Close collaboration with different teams across various time zones.

Skillset/Experience:

Strong knowledge in digital logic design (Data path and Finite Sate Machine (FSM) Design).
Experience in RTL Design and Verilog or System Verilog coding
Familiarity with front-end design flows (synthesis, formal verification, static timing analysis, CDC) is a plus

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$164,000.00 - $246,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
