Job Description

The Sales Executive at Novotel Makassar Grand Shayla will be responsible for managing group arrangements, handling client inquiries, and promoting hotel facilities to maximize sales revenue. This role involves coordinating with various departments, maintaining booking records, and fostering positive client relations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a service-oriented approach to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
Must Have:
  • Answer phone calls and handle inquiries using hotel etiquette.
  • Coordinate all group arrangements and program planning.
  • Communicate group needs to relevant departments.
  • Follow up on post-conference reports and review group billings.
  • Input and update group bookings in the system weekly.
  • Prepare reports and maintain proper records and filing.
  • Manage gifts inventory and coordinate client gift sending.
  • Arrange site inspections for potential clients.
  • Promote positive client relations and handle requests courteously.
  • Address client complaints tactfully; report incidents to management.
  • Up-sell hotel facilities and services to maximize revenue.
  • Hold a Diploma in Tourism / Hospitality Management.
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years relevant experience with proven track records.
  • Excellent English language proficiency (reading, writing, oral).
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication and customer contact skills.
  • Service-oriented with attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform well under high pressure.
  • Be a team player, builder, motivator, and self-starter.
  • Maintain professional presentation and grooming.

Job Description

  • Answer incoming phone calls in a pleasant manner using Hotel’s telephone etiquette guidelines. Handle telephone enquiries according to departmental procedure
  • Coordinate all group arrangements
  • Work with group contacts to facilitate program planning and requirements
  • Communicate group needs and specifications to all relevant departments
  • Follow up with Post-Conference reports and review group billings
  • Input all group bookings and update booking activities in the system on a weekly basis
  • Prepare reports, maintain proper records and filing system in accordance to hotel’s sales administration process
  • Maintain gifts inventory and coordinate the sending of gifts to clients
  • Arrange site inspections for potential clients
  • Promote positive relations with clients and attend to all requests expediently and courteously
  • Acknowledge and handle clients’ complaints and comments tactfully and efficiently. Report incidents or other irregularities to management
  • Up-sell and promote hotel’s facilities and services at every available opportunity in order to maximize sales revenue

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Tourism / Hospitality Management
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity with proven track records
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
  • Good communication and customer contact skills
  • Service oriented with an eye for details
  • Ability to work well in high-pressure situations
  • A team player & builder
  • A motivator & self-starter
  • Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times
