Job Description

The Global E-commerce Ops Team at ByteDance is responsible for capturing user commerce intentions and managing the entire process to boost GMV. This role focuses on enhancing user awareness of TikTok shopping, increasing search function usage, stimulating e-commerce search needs, and improving the overall search experience to accelerate e-commerce growth. Responsibilities include data delivery for evaluation and labeling in the Japanese market, training employees and BPOs, localizing labeling guidelines, conducting calibration meetings, analyzing cases, and improving accuracy rates. The ideal candidate possesses strong QA experience in moderation projects, understands search engines and social media, and has familiarity with online shopping apps and Japanese internet usage habits.

Responsibilities

About the team The Global E-commerce Ops Team is responsible for capturing and identifying users’ commerce intentions and operating the whole process to promote GMV. This team focuses on building and strengthening user awareness that they can shop on TikTok, enhancing the usage frequency of the search function, stimulating users’ e-commerce search needs, and improving users’ search experience, accelerating the e-commerce business’s growth. Responsibilities 1. Responsible for data delivery related to evaluation and labeling in the JP market of GEC business. 2. Responsible for training new in-house employees and BPO, calibration, etc., and responsible for the quality and efficiency of project delivery. 3. Localize the labeling guidelines, support the guideline training, and align the guideline updates 4. Conduct calibration meetings with the in-house team or BPO team in the appeal process: analyze different cases, record and evaluate their performance, and offer solutions and suggestions for the current problem to help the team improve the accuracy rate and alignment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree or above 2. Excellent language skills, (Native & English) 3. Excellent identifying problems, problem-solving skills, and learning abilities 4. Have QA experience in moderation projects, knowledge about search engines, familiarity with social media platforms 5. Knowledge about search engines, the best way to be addicted to TikTok, and familiarity with shopping apps like Amazon, Temu or other local apps. 6. An in-depth understanding of local culture and familiarity with the Internet usage habits of local users 7. Strong ability to learn and understand Preferred Qualifications: 1. Familiar with common office software, evaluating experience is preferred 2. Understanding the search trends and familiarity with online shopping-related businesses is preferred 3. Overseas working/training is a plus
