Job Description

The Seat Installer is responsible for installing and repairing seats on products, ensuring all related equipment is maintained. This role involves assessing installation orders, gathering necessary tools and supplies, and planning installations by evaluating locations and equipment layout. The installer must adhere to codes, regulations, and standards, test and calibrate equipment, and resolve customer concerns. They are also responsible for maintaining work records, monitoring parts inventory, and placing orders.
Must have:
  • HS diploma or equivalent required
  • Assess installation orders and gather needed equipment, tools, and supplies
  • Plan seal installation by evaluating locations, access, and equipment layout
  • Adhere to codes, regulations, and standards
  • Test and calibrate equipment before use
  • Resolve customer concerns and questions
  • Maintain all work records and parts used at each job

  • Keep inventory log, place inventory orders, and confirm receipt
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to meet and establish deadlines
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
  • Strong analytical skills

Position Summary:

Installs seats on products. May also repair seats. Maintains all equipment related to seat installation.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assesses installation orders and gathers needed equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Plans seal installation by evaluating locations, access, and equipment layout.
  • Adheres to codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Tests and calibrates equipment before use.
  • Resolves customer concerns and questions.
  • Maintains all work records and parts used at each job in accordance with established procedures.
  • Monitors parts inventory for service vehicle.
  • Keeps inventory log, places inventory orders, and confirms receipt.

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to meet and establish deadlines.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
  • Strong analytical skills

Position Qualifications:

Education:

  • HS diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

  • No experience required, but 1+ years of manufacturing or related experience preferred

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Manufacturing Environment
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time
  • Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
