Job Summary
Sonar is seeking a Security Product Manager to drive the vision and roadmap for its code security offerings, including SonarQube Cloud, SonarQube Server, and SonarQube for IDE. The role requires a deep technical background in code security or static application security testing (SAST) to ensure users write more secure code with a seamless product experience. The Product Manager will research, clarify, and prioritize developer needs, translate them across the product line, and become an expert user of Sonar's products. Collaboration with other product managers and engaged engineering teams is crucial for delivering the best products and helping development teams write better, more secure code. The ideal candidate will contribute to product visions, communicate them internally and externally, interact with users on the product forum, and align with engineering and UX teams on solutions.
Must Have
- Software product management experience, preferably in agile.
- Passion for secure software development and AST.
- Deep understanding of security needs in domains like cloud, IaC, or mobile.
- Familiarity with the AST market and vendors.
- Technical comprehension of code scanning and static analysis.
- Highly autonomous and pragmatic.
- Open-minded and positive can-do attitude.
- Comfortable with change, complexity, and uncertainty.
- Self-confident to challenge status quo and receive feedback.
- Leadership initiative and ability to lead a subject end-to-end.

Job Description
What You Will Do Daily:
- Contribute to the product visions and communicate about them, internally and externally.
- Research, clarify, and prioritize opportunities to build and maintain an effective roadmap.
- Interact with our users and customers on our product forum to support them, integrate their feedback, and identify opportunities.
- Develop a deep understanding of code security and how we can enable developers to write more secure software.
- Work closely with other product managers to design cross-product features.
- Align with the engineering and UX teams on the problems to solve and support them during the end-to-end development stage of the solutions.
- Sync with the engineering teams to ensure that there is a good balance between innovation, consolidation, and stability.
- Attend conferences and give talks if you like.
- Help the Product Management team grow in its organization, tools, and processes.
The Experience You Will Need:
- Experience in software product management, preferably in an agile context.
- Passionate about secure software development and application security testing.
- Deep understanding of the security needs in at least one speciality domain, e.g. cloud, IaC, or mobile security.
- Familiar with the application security testing (AST) market and its vendors.
- Technical comprehension of the architectures related to code scanning and static analysis
- Highly autonomous and pragmatic.
- Open-minded and very positive can-do attitude.
- Comfortable in dealing with change, complexity, and uncertainty.
- Self-confident enough to challenge the status quo as well as to receive feedback.
- Leadership: you take initiative and demonstrate your ability to lead a subject from beginning to end.
