Job Description

We Are Social is seeking a Senior Account Director for its Client Service team in Munich. This role is central to managing multiple key accounts, developing creative social-based marketing solutions for world-renowned brands. Responsibilities include strategic client leadership, business development, overseeing complex national and international projects, ensuring quality and budget adherence, active participation in pitches, and leading and mentoring a team. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of agency experience, B2B expertise, and strong social media marketing understanding.
Must have:
  • Strategic consulting and proactive development of key accounts
  • Expanding existing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities
  • Leading and managing large, complex national and international projects
  • Monitoring project progress, budgets, and quality
  • Ensuring projects are implemented on time and to the highest standard
  • Close collaboration with strategy, creation, paid media, and production teams
  • Active participation in pitches and new business presentations
  • Introducing innovative social-first approaches and trends
  • Leading, motivating, and developing a team
  • Fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture
  • Mentoring and coaching in strategic thinking and client management
  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience with a focus on agencies
  • B2B experience
  • Strong brand understanding in social media/digital marketing
  • Very good German and English language skills, written and spoken

We are looking for a Senior Account Director (m/f/d) at our Munich location to support our Client Service team.

To continue growing and developing, we are looking for a Senior Account Director (m/f/d) at our Munich location to support our Client Services team.

Our Client Service team is a key factor in our success, working closely with world-renowned brands to develop creative and effective social-based marketing solutions.

As a Senior Account Director (m/f/d), you are a central pivot in the Client Service team and manage several of our clients.

What does the role involve?

Client Leadership & Business Development

  • Strategic consulting and proactive development of key accounts
  • Expansion of existing customer relationships and identification of new business opportunities
  • Leadership and management of large, complex projects and campaigns (national & international)

Quality & Project Management

  • Monitoring of project progress, budgets, and quality
  • Ensuring that projects are implemented on time, within budget, and to the highest standard
  • Close collaboration with strategy, creation, paid media, and production

Pitching & Growth

  • Active participation in pitches and new business presentations
  • Introduction of innovative social-first approaches and trends

Line Management & Team

  • Leading, motivating, and developing a team
  • Fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture
  • Mentoring and coaching with regard to strategic thinking and client management

What are we looking for?

  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience with a focus on agencies (additional experience on the client side, e.g., in marketing, is a plus)
  • B2B experience
  • Strong brand understanding in the field of social media/digital marketing
  • Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
