Position Summary

This is a Bay Area based, intermediate position where you will be initially responsible for the expense side of Mashgin's accounting. As a senior accountant, you will handle vendor bills, credit card entries, manage expense entries, and ensure accurate and timely record-keeping. If you are an accounting generalist, and love the excitement of a fast-paced, startup environment where you will have the opportunity to learn and grow then this position would be a good fit for you!

You will be required to be able to work at Mashgin's HQ in person at least twice a week.

You Will Be

• Owning the entire procure to pay process, including establishing and improving processes
• Participating in general ledger activities, including recording journal entries
• Supporting monthly close processes to ensure adherence to the close schedule
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and schedules for period-end close and audit
• Owning the sales tax process, requiring the selection of the tax platform and its management

Minimum Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related discipline with 7+ years of experience applying accounting and financial best-practices in a public or private company environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERPs
• Strong commitment to accuracy, consistency and ability to problem solve and come up with creative solutions with various tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with hardware strongly desired
• 3+ years of management experience

For roles based in Palo Alto, CA, the overall market range is typically $110,000 - $155,000 USD annually. Note that total compensation for this position will be determined by candidate’s relevant qualifications, work experience, skills, and other relevant factors. This estimate excludes the value of any benefits offered, and the potential future value of any other long-term incentives.
