Job Description

As a Senior Accountant, Royalty Systems at Hasbro, you will oversee financial systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. You will assist in reporting and forecasting royalty data, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and leading system upgrades. The role involves coordinating with auditors, identifying process improvements, and completing ad hoc projects. This role will require you to work onsite 3 days a week in the Pawtucket, RI office.
Good To Have:
  • Knowledge of financial and royalty systems preferred, such as SAP, Alliant.
  • Experience in reviewing and understanding contracts; knowledge of licensing.
Must Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA designation is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of accounting or finance experience, financial systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, and ERP software.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.

Hasbro’s Corporate Royalty Accounting group is looking for a Senior Accountant, Royalties Systems, to join our team! This role will report to the Manager of Accounting, Royalties. This role involves overseeing the integration and maintenance of financial systems, leading system upgrade testing, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations associated with our royalty systems.

 

This is a hybrid role and requires the ability to work onsite 3 days per week in our Pawtucket, RI office.

 

 A day in the life of the Senior Accountant, Royalties Systems:

  • Financial Systems Management: Oversee the maintenance, and optimization of financial systems to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Assist with reporting and forecasts royalty financial data to provide actionable insights to management.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
  • System Upgrades: Lead system upgrades and enhancements, including testing and user training.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during audits.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Complete ad hoc projects.

 

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA designation is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on financial systems preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, and ERP software. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. A comprehensive knowledge of ASC 606 is preferred.
  • Continuous process improvements while harnessing Power BI to streamline workflows and automate data-driven reporting.
  • Knowledge of financial and royalty systems preferred, such as SAP, Alliant, Rights Line, etc.
  • Experience in reviewing and understanding contracts; knowledge of licensing industry and royalty accounting preferred.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and contribute efficiently and optimally in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.

 

 

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

  • Starting Pay Range:  $82,700
  • Pay Range End:  $124,100
