Job Description

The Senior Analyst will be responsible for leading end-to-end portfolio metrics management and reporting. They will influence key stakeholders using data and reporting to achieve results. The analyst will also lead Portfolio Management Review sessions, perform analysis, and identify issues. Furthermore, they will partner with teams to understand business challenges and drive alignment, lead strategic project initiatives related to Portfolio Management process improvements within the S&OP function, and partner with the Supply Chain Analytics team to drive use and understand reporting. This role is critical to assess business metrics and provide insights into how to positively influence the business portfolio, supporting the implementation of new processes and agreed-to metrics.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 3-4 years’ experience in product development or supply chain.
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint; able to build presentation decks.
  • Advanced Excel skills including modelling and managing large data sets.
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Good to have:
  • Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau.

Job Description

The Opportunity: 

The Senior Analyst will report into the Sr Manager Portfolio Management based out of our headquarters in El Segundo, CA.  The team is part of the Global Supply Chain organization and works across stakeholders throughout the company.  The Senior Analyst will be a critical member of the team to assess business metrics, think independently, identify patterns & provide insights into how we can positively influence the business portfolio. This role will also serve as an agent of change, supporting the implementation of new processes and agreed to metrics.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Lead end to end portfolio metrics management & reporting.
  • Influence key stakeholders using data and reporting to achieve results.
  • Lead the Portfolio Management Review session right from preparation of the material, perform analysis and identify issues that require resolution.
  • Partner with teams to understand the business challenges or opportunities and help drive alignment across the teams.
  • Lead strategic project initiatives related to Portfolio Management process improvements within the S&OP function.
  • Partner with Supply Chain Analytics team to drive use & understand reporting.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field.
  • 3-4 years’ experience in product development or supply chain, preferably in a consumer products industry.
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint; able to build presentation decks.
  • Advanced Excel skills including modelling, pivot tables & managing large sets of data.
  • Some proficiency in Business Intelligence tools, i.e. Tableau or comparable.
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to think independently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively, build trust and influence the actions of others.
  • Capacity to provide insightful analyses across the Brand Portfolio and translate into actionable metrics.
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $88,000 and $107,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience. Mattel offers competitive total pay programs, comprehensive benefits, and resources to help empower a culture where every employee can reach their full potential.
