Our AI Receptionist agent manages patient intake, triage, and front‑desk workflows—reducing no‑shows and administrative burden while integrating seamlessly with major EHR systems.
Role Overview
You'll join our Receptionist Agent Team and own the end‑to‑end API development and AI voice agent building and scaling. You’ll partner with Product and Clinical teams to translate requirements into production‑grade conversational AI and maintaining robust EHR integrations.
What You’ll Do
- API Development. Design and implement TypeScript/Node.js endpoints for voice‑agent interactions, authentication, scheduling workflows, and secure EHR data exchange.
- Voice Agent Construction. Independently build, test, and deploy voice agents using platforms like Retell AI or Vapi AI—creating custom function‑call APIs and dialogue flows.
- EHR Integration. Update and maintain integration layers to connect voice agents to customer EHR systems for appointment confirmation, rescheduling, and logging.
- Performance & Monitoring. Establish logging, alerting, and metrics dashboards to ensure reliability, low latency, and high success rates in live deployments.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in backend AI or conversational systems in production.
- Proven ability to independently build voice agents on third‑party platforms (Retell AI, Vapi AI, etc.).
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js; React experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with RESTful/GraphQL API design, Docker, and Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
- Experience integrating applications with healthcare data standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building and integrating API's
- Background in chatbot or voice‑AI projects in production environments.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC‑2).
- Excellent communication skills for paired programming and documentation.
