The designer will adapt Discord's authentic voice for professional audiences, collaborating with various teams to drive business impact and strengthen the brand's evolving identity beyond gaming.
Must have:
  • Design executive presentations, case studies, one-pagers, and sales toolkits.
  • Create booth graphics and event materials.
  • Maintain Discord's authentic brand voice for professional audiences.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and Design teams.
  • Demonstrate excellent judgment on deliverable readiness.
  • 8+ years of experience creating B2B marketing materials.
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Portfolio demonstrating compelling presentations and sales materials.
  • Proven track record of gaining stakeholder buy-in.
  • Ability to distill complex information into clear, visual communications.
Good to have:
  • Motion graphics and video production capabilities.
  • Experience using Discord.
  • Experience in the gaming industry (B2B and B2C backgrounds).

Discord is used by over 200 million people every month for many different reasons, but there’s one thing that nearly everyone does on our platform: play video games. Over 90% of our users play games, spending a combined 1.5 billion hours playing thousands of unique titles on Discord each month. Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming. We are focused on making it easier and more fun for people to talk and hang out before, during, and after playing games.

We're looking for a Senior Brand Designer who gets excited about making Discord look amazing in the business world. You'll be the creative force behind our B2B marketing materials—turning our "hey, Discord is so much more than Servers" message into visuals that actually make game dev decision makers stop scrolling and pay attention.

Helping businesses understand Discord's potential presents an exciting creative challenge. You'll be designing for a platform that's evolving beyond its gaming origins, and your work will directly influence how companies approach community and communication. You’ll report to the Creative Director for Developer Marketing under the Brand Creative team.

Our Brand Creative team develops creative strategies that connect with our growing community across consumer and business audiences. We conceptualize and execute large-scale campaigns that evolve Discord's visual identity and brand storytelling, always pushing creative boundaries while staying true to who we are.

We partner closely with our marketing, social, product, and design teams to ensure everything we create feels cohesively Discord across every platform and touchpoint. Our focus is on strengthening Discord's presence in the gaming industry while building a brand that welcomes everyone—because at the end of the day, we're all about creating space where people can find their place and belong.

What you'll be doing:

  • Create materials that wow: Design executive presentations, case studies, one-pagers, and sales toolkits that help close deals (and even get a "this is beautifully designed" along the way)
  • Conference takeovers: Create booth graphics and event materials that make our show presence feel like the main event
  • Brand guardian (but make it business-y): Maintain Discord's authentic voice while adapting it for professional audiences—a rewarding creative challenge
  • Play well with others: Team up with Product Marketing, Design, and basically everyone else to turn "wouldn't it be cool if..." into a reality that’s on strategy and drives business impact.
  • Know when to ship it: Demonstrate excellent judgment in determining when deliverables are ready for launch versus when additional refinement will enhance impact

What you should have:

  • 8+ years of experience creating engaging B2B marketing materials that drive audience engagement
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite with strong technical design skills
  • A portfolio demonstrating ability to create compelling presentations and sales materials that captivate professional audiences
  • Proven track record of gaining stakeholder buy-in for creative concepts across organizational levels
  • Ability to distill complex information into clear, visually compelling communications

Bonus points:

  • Motion graphics and video production capabilities
  • Using Discord helps, but we can totally show you the ropes
  • Experience in gaming industry, both B2B and B2C backgrounds welcomed

Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma counties). Relocation assistance may be available.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000 to $202,500 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.
