Job Description

As a Senior C++ Developer at Synechron, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications using C++. This includes writing and debugging code, optimizing performance, and collaborating with other developers and stakeholders. You will contribute to transitioning to better DevOps tools and practices, identifying and mitigating potential issues, and establishing strong working relationships across business units. You will also be involved in ensuring deliverables are defined and effectively integrated into the procedures and processes.
Must have:
  • 6+ years of experience in Capital Markets software development.
  • 6+ years of professional experience using C++.
  • Proficiency in multithread programming.
  • Proficiency in Oracle and Python.
  • Experience with JSON and XML.
  • Experience with DevOps pipeline.
  • Experience supporting production environment.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Good to have:
  • Experience with Sophis.
  • Experience with Equity Derivative Products.
  • Experience with Risk Reporting.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with AWS or Azure.
  • Experience using or developing web service.
  • Experience with service orientated architecture.

Additional Information*  The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.  In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $110k – CAD $120k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities:
  • A C++ developer's primary responsibility is to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications using the C++ programming language. This includes writing code, testing and debugging applications, optimizing performance, and collaborating with other developers and stakeholders.
  • Contribute support and knowledge towards a transition to better devops tools, practices and metrics.
  • Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks.  Analyze, mitigate and escalate where appropriate.
  • Establish strong working relationships across business and functional units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners. 
  • Collaborate with groups to ensure to define and achieve deliverables and ensure initiatives are effectively integrated into the procedures and processes.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years hands on experience working in Capital Markets software development.
  • 6+ years of professional experience using C++.
  • Proficiency in multithread programming.
  • Proficiency in Oracle and Python.
