Dun & Bradstreet seeks a dynamic, results-oriented Senior Director of Corporate Communications to elevate its strategy. This leader will shape and amplify the company’s brand and reputation, overseeing both external and internal communications. The role involves developing and executing a comprehensive strategy aligned with business goals, leading public relations, and fostering a strong internal culture. Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, this position requires a strategic thinker passionate about storytelling and media dynamics, capable of enhancing the company’s visibility and credibility.
Must have:
  • Develop and implement a corporate communication strategy that supports business objectives and enhances brand positioning
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team on all matters related to communications and reputation management
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure message consistency and alignment
  • Monitor media coverage, public sentiment, and industry trends to inform strategy and identify proactive storytelling opportunities
  • Lead relationship external agencies and vendors to ensure high-quality execution and alignment with strategic goals
  • Design and execute internal communication programs that foster team member engagement, alignment with company priorities and culture
  • Collaborate with the People team and leadership to communicate organizational changes, updates, and initiatives effectively
  • Collaborate with the marketing and business unit teams to plan and execute product launches, promotional campaigns, and events, as well as initiatives to strengthen the company’s brand identity and reputation among stakeholders
  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans to protect the company's reputation during challenging times
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing corporate communications team, providing guidance, development opportunities, and clear direction to support team and company objectives
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of communication efforts

We are looking for a dynamic, results-oriented communications leader to drive and elevate our corporate communications strategy. This hands-on role will be instrumental in shaping and amplifying the company’s brand and reputation as a recognized industry leader.

As the Senior Director of Corporate Communications, you will develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with the company’s business goals and growth initiatives. You will oversee both external and internal communications, ensuring consistent, compelling messaging across all channels. This includes leading public relations efforts and fostering a strong internal communications culture that engages and informs team members.

This role reports directly to the Chief Communications Officer in our Jacksonville, FL global headquarters and requires a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling, a strong grasp of media dynamics, and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives that enhance the company’s visibility and credibility.

Essential Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communication Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a corporate communication strategy that supports business objectives and enhances brand positioning
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team on all matters related to communications and reputation management
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure message consistency and alignment

Public Relations:

  • Monitor media coverage, public sentiment, and industry trends to inform strategy and identify proactive storytelling opportunities
  • Lead relationship external agencies and vendors to ensure high-quality execution and alignment with strategic goals

Internal Communications:

  • Design and execute internal communication programs that foster team member engagement, alignment with company priorities and culture

Brand & Reputation Management:

  • Collaborate with the marketing and business unit teams to plan and execute product launches, promotional campaigns, and events, as well as initiatives to strengthen the company’s brand identity and reputation among stakeholders

Team Leadership & Development:

Essential Skills and/or Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or English/Writing
  • 15+ years of experience in corporate communications, with a significant portion in a leadership role; agency experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a small team
  • Proven expertise in media relations, internal communications, and brand management
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences
  • Corporate experience required; experience in the data and analytics industry is preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to communication challenges
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and maintain composure during high-stakes situations
