Job Description

The Senior Director Product Management drives the AppExchange roadmap, defining market needs, product vision, and strategies. This role involves identifying business problems, designing innovative solutions, and determining delivery mechanisms. Responsibilities include engaging with customers, partners, and ISVs to prioritize industry future, generating roadmaps, and gathering product requirements. The director develops functional specifications, collaborates with QA, UX, and Documentation teams for end-to-end feature delivery, and analyzes user feedback for usability testing. They also represent Salesforce as a domain expert at various events.

  • Drive product requirements from customer and user-driven approach.
  • Engage with customers for requirements gathering, feature requests, and roadmap updates.
  • Represent Salesforce as a domain and product expert at customer interactions, industry and corporate events, and through community sites and social media.

Drive and contribute to the AppExchange point of view and roadmap. Define market needs, product vision, and strategies. Engage with customers, partners, and ISVs, along with product ambassadors from across Salesforce to prioritize the future of our industry. Generate roadmaps and associated communications, perform release planning, and gather product requirements. Develop functional specifications for customer enablement and success. Collaborate with teams, including those for Quality Assurance, User Experience, and Documentation, to execute AppExchange product strategies. Own and drive end-to-end feature delivery. Analyze and document user feedback and subsequently develop prototypes in collaboration with User Experience for usability testing. Work in conjunction with Development, Technical Publications, and Quality Assurance teams to timely deliver marketable products. Drive product requirements from customer and user-driven approach. Engage with customers for requirements gathering, feature requests, and roadmap updates. Represent Salesforce as a domain and product expert at customer interactions, industry and corporate events, and through community sites and social media. Telecommuting is an option.

Minimum Requirements

Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Research, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and four (4) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.

Special Skill Requirements

(1) Business strategy; (2) Business analytics; (3) Project management; (4) Project management tools such as Scrum, or SDLC; (5) Product roadmap planning and grooming; (6) Salesforce Force.com platform; (7) Query languages such as SQL, PostgreSQL or SOQL; and (8) Salesforce tools such as CRM, Data Loader, Wave and GUS. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option.
