What You'll Do
- Lead Electrical System Builds: Own the end-to-end integration of electrical and avionics subsystems - ensuring components are correctly sourced, inspected, installed, and verified on both test benches and full vehicles.
- Bridge Design and Reality: Collaborate with design engineers to resolve installation issues, improve integration practices, and feed back lessons learned to future revisions.
- Ensure Electrical Integrity: Perform detailed inspections, continuity checks, grounding verification, and system bring-up to validate readiness at every stage of build.
- Support Rapid Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues during integration and test including signal noise, routing conflicts, or component failures.
- Work with Vendors and Partners: Manage sourcing and quality of harnesses, electrical hardware, and subassemblies - guiding suppliers through specs, fabrication, and inspection criteria.
- Improve Build Processes: Optimize installation practices, document procedures, and work side-by-side with technicians to ensure safe, repeatable, high-quality electrical builds.
- Drive Toward Certification: Support the verification and documentation of flight-critical systems to meet our roadmap for production and regulatory certification.
- Contribute to Flight Test Readiness: Participate in integration checkouts, safe-to-mate activities, and rapid turnarounds in test environments to keep our flight programs moving.
What You'll Bring
- Strong technical foundation and practical experience in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related fields
- A deep passion for building real-world, safety-critical systems - and seeing them come to life in the lab and on the vehicle
- Demonstrated, hands-on professional experience integrating electrical and/or avionics systems in complex platforms (aerospace, maritime, defense, or automotive environments)
- Expertise in interpreting electrical schematics, harness diagrams, and mechanical installation drawings
- Strong understanding of low-voltage DC power systems, grounding/shielding practices, and high-integrity cable routing
- Proven ability to work across disciplines including mechanical, propulsion, software, systems, etc. to drive integration forward
