Job Description

This role involves developing and supporting software solutions and tools for Pixel power management and power optimization. Responsibilities include leading the design, development, and support for innovative power control in Linux and firmware for Pixel; analyzing system architecture to optimize power consumption; managing power, latency, and system stability; troubleshooting and resolving power-related issues; and creating and maintaining test suites to detect power regression and system stability during state transitions. The Google Pixel team is dedicated to creating the world's most helpful mobile experience, utilizing advanced designs and integrating AI, software, and hardware to build global smartphones.
Must have:
  • 7+ years of experience with software development in C/C++
  • Experience in power management of embedded mobile devices
  • Lead design, development, and support for power control in Linux and firmware
  • Analyze system architecture for power optimization
  • Troubleshoot and resolve power-related issues
Good to have:
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5 years of experience with embedded software development
  • Experience developing accessible technologies and mobile devices

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience with software development in C/C++.
  • Experience in power management of embedded mobile devices.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience working with embedded software development.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies and mobile devices.
