Job Description

This role is for a Professional Services Delivery Engineer (III/IV) specializing in AWS Devops. Key responsibilities include automating deployments on AWS, architecting best practices, creating automation tools, educating customers on AWS and Rackspace practices, and ensuring cloud environment integrity. The role requires 7-12 years of experience with strong technical expertise in AWS products, IaaS, PaaS, scripting (Python, Linux, Shell), Git, Terraform/IaC, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and operating systems like Windows or Linux.

Ensure the control, integrity, and accessibility of the cloud environment.
Experienced in solutioning and implementation of Green field projects leveraging IaaS, PaaS for Primary site and DR.
Near expert knowledge of AWS Products & Services, Compute, Storage, Security, networking, etc.
Proficient skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, Linux, Shell scripting.
Proficient skills with git and git workflows.
Excellent working knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems.
Highly skilled in Terraform/IaC, including CI/CD practices.
Working knowledge in Kubernetes.
Experience in designing, building, implementing, analysing, Migrating and troubleshooting highly available systems.
Knowledge of at least one configuration management system such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet or any other such tools.
Required Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
Requires Associate level Certificates in AWS or professional level certificate.

Key Responsibilities

Assist Rackers across the Cloud Function.

Technical Expertise

Experienced in solutioning and implementation of Green field projects leveraging IaaS, PaaS for Primary site and DR.
Near expert knowledge of AWS Products & Services, Compute, Storage, Security, networking, etc.
Proficient skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, Linux, Shell scripting.
Proficient skills with git and git workflows.
Excellent working knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems – experience of supporting and troubleshooting issues and performance.
Highly skilled in Terraform/IaC, including CI/CD practices.
Working knowledge in Kubernetes.
Experience in designing, building, implementing, analysing, Migrating and troubleshooting highly available systems.
Knowledge of at least one configuration management system such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet or any other such tools.
Understanding of services and protocols, configuration, management, and troubleshooting of hosting environments, including web servers, databases, caching, and database services.
Knowledge in the application of current and emerging network software and hardware technology and protocols.
