Electronic Arts is seeking a Senior Game Product Manager for EA SPORTS FC Live to create engaging and rewarding live service experiences. This role involves a blend of analytical and business skills to execute content strategies, reporting to the Senior Lead Economy Product Manager. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Producers, Game Designers, and Artists to drive the growth of FC's live service and FC Ultimate Team. Responsibilities include economy management, understanding player motivations, influencing decisions with economic insights, and executing product roadmaps.
Must have:
  • Oversee and execute economy management strategy on live content, campaigns and features.
  • Leverage experience and research to understand player motivations and apply to game features.
  • Navigate cross-functional structure to influence decision-making with economic insights.
  • Assess and ideate on core Ultimate Team and Clubs campaigns to maximize fun.
  • Partner with Product and Franchise teams to execute product roadmap.
  • Understand Ultimate Team player behavior and needs for tuning and progression.
  • Manage and drive forecasting process, aligning to KPI targets.
  • Support business reviews and executive presentations.
  • Independently assess health and performance of live economy systems using data.
  • Translate real world Soccer games/events into live content ideas.
  • Collaborate with engineering groups on game/live service technologies.

On FC, the Game Product Manager’s mission, in close collaboration with the wider FC Live Content Team, is to help create the most engaging and rewarding live service experience for our players. You will have a mix of analytical and business abilities that can help execute against actionable plans and content strategies that benefit our players. You will report directly to the Senior Lead Economy Product Manager and will partner with other PMs, Producers, Game Designers, Artists, and external team members to further the growth of FC's live service and FC Ultimate Team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute the economy management strategy on live content, campaigns and features that maximize acquisition, engagement, and monetization throughout the product cycle.
  • Leverage experience and research from qualitative and quantitative sources to develop an advanced level of understanding of player motivations, personas and segmentations and apply to multiple game features.
  • Navigate FC’s cross-functional structure to influence decision-making by providing economic insights.
  • Assess and ideate on core Ultimate Team and Clubs campaigns to maximize fun for players to boost engagement and retention.
  • Partner with Product and Franchise teams to execute against product roadmap that includes all important monetization levers: Features, Content, Events, Marketing campaigns, Offers, Promotions, Regionalization, Segmentation, A/B testing, Platforms, etc.
  • Understand Ultimate Team player behavior and needs to inform tuning and progression strategies.
  • Manage and drive forecasting process, aligning to KPI targets and product roadmap/strategy.
  • Support business reviews and executive presentations and communications.
  • Independently assess the health and performance of live economy systems using data.
  • Translate real world Soccer games/events into live content ideas/plans that further enhance the world of sports entertainment for our players.
  • Collaborate with our engineering groups, developing technologies that affect the game or live service.

Your Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of Product Management, Game Design or equivalent experience required (Preferably in Live Services).
  • Desirable: A Soccer fan with a good understanding of the core mechanics of FC and FC Ultimate Team’s Live Service model.
  • Experience using data and insights to inform product development and experience with data-driven product design.
  • Ability using and understanding in-game trends using data insights to affect top line Indicators.
  • Experience communicating complex concepts to a variety of audiences, with experience presenting decks to multiple partners.
  • Experienced in:
  • Successful live service console and/or mobile games having delivered and maintained at least one product through the product life cycle.
  • Obtaining insights and developing insights through analytical metrics driven analysis and design experimentation.
  • Business operational forecasting and modeling.
  • Building presentations/communications, and presenting to leadership or executives.
