Focus of the Role
This position is aligned with the vision to build the Test  Automation engineering excellence teams in Telstra to manage the Test automation platform/tools and framework and retain  the intellectual property internal to Telstra.

What You’ll Do

•Define test strategy to support business requirements
•Analyse and review testability of functional and non functional requirements
•Drive the development of test plan for the tasks, dependencies and participants required to mitigate the risks to system quality and obtain stakeholder support for this plan.
•Organize the testing and QA resource with release managers, SI partners and business stakeholder
•Estimate and obtain support for the time, resources and budget required to perform the testing.
•With supports of SI partners, build a testing team of professionals with appropriate skills, attitudes and motivation.
•Arrange the Hardware and software requirement for the Test set up and environment.
•Drive test management framework, test harness and automation to drive productivity and efficiency
•Ensure content and structure of all Testing documents / artifacts is documented and maintained.
•Provide visibility to test plan, dashboard progress and issues or roadblocks to project stakeholders, LBO and ITS leadership team.
•Track and prepare the report of testing activities like test testing results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status, performance baselines etc.
•Act as the single point of contact for testing related policy, process, and procedure.  Owner to test governance related activities and work with partners’ delivery and
•Ensure all testing activities are organised and conducted according to defined process and policy
•Drive continuous improvement and knowledge management to achieve higher testing maturity and QA processes.

About You

10 years’ experience in  Test management and leading test automation initiatives.
Lead the design, development, and execution of Test automation strategy for large complex projects in AGILE methodology
Designing, creating Constructing and executing Automation test cases for API web services
Experience in test automation  tools like Selenium, Web Driver and Playwright
Contribute to team agile planning activities and backlog prioritization and management
Identify, verify, report, and regress bugs. Ensure the quality and reliability of software releases through rigorous testing.
Collaborates with product line stakeholders to understand and develop strategies, frameworks relating to their emerging demands
Driving innovation/adoption of Industry practices through investigation/institutionalization of New tools/methods/standards
Work with the development team to understand the technologies and develop / implement automated testing tools for data comparison and transformation (on Hadoop, Spark, Datameer,etc.)
Skilled in testing and QA system development and monitoring
A deep, practical understanding of SDLC processes including Requirements, Design, Development, Build, Release Management, and Quality Assurance
Internal and external client-focused attitude with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong understanding of testing web services, security testing best practices
Familiar with test methodologies, tools. Knowledge of using JIRA would be advantage
