Job Description

As a Senior Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex software systems, collaborating with teams to define and ship new features, and ensuring the quality of the work through code reviews and testing. The role involves mentoring, providing technical guidance, and participating in the full software development life cycle. Key responsibilities include providing technical leadership, developing tools, setting coding standards, translating user needs into requirements, leading design work, and collaborating within an agile framework. The role also includes migrating assets from AWS to Azure. The job also includes taking responsibility for the migration of assets from AWS to Azure.
Must have:
  • Proficiency in Java
  • Experience with AWS Lambda, ECS, EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, Fargate, Cloudwatch, DynamoDB, Glue
  • Experience with Terraform, Datadog, Gitlab and Devops
  • Experience with REST Api
  • Strong notions of security best practices in AWS
  • Ability to think strategically and operate in delivery mode
  • Understanding of business requirements

Job Details

As a Senior Lead Engineer,  you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex software systems in multiple areas, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, and ensuring the quality and performance of the team's work through code reviews and testing. You will have the opportunity to mentor and provide technical guidance to team members and participate in the full software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide partnership and support to SME’s and Tech Leads to ensure delivery on commitments

  • Lead and Provide Technical leadership to highly skilled software Engineers

  • Develop tools and applications by producing clean and efficient code.

  • Set and maintain high standards of coding best practice.

  • Ensure the quality and performance of the team's work through code reviews and testing

  • Translate end user needs to requirements using a lightweight agile design led methodology.

  • Lead design work and planning for user stories.

  • Sets and executes on the delivery of given tasks, delegating to the team where applicable.

  • Builds trusting relationships with team and colleagues, collaborating closely with team. 

  • Communicate with clarity and precision in a concise format.

  • Working both independently and collaboratively within a team in an agile fashion.

  • Analysis, design and implementation of complex software solutions using customer focused design driven methodologies, delivered via public cloud.

  • Be responsible for the migration of assets from AWS to Azure

Skills and experience:

  • Strong proficiency in Java

  • Proven experience in AWS Lambda, ECS, EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, Fargate, Cloudwatch, DynamoDB, Glue

  • Proven experience in Terraform, Datadog, Gitlab and Devops.

  • Experience with REST Api.

  • Strong notions of security best practices in AWS (e.g., using Secrets manager, IAM, Security Groups).

  • Proficient in integrating, transforming, and consolidating data from various structured and unstructured data systems into a structure that is suitable for building analytics solutions.

  • Ability to think strategically and operate in day-to-day delivery mode requirement of the role.

  • Demonstrates ability to understand business requirements and the implications of those requirements on current and future roadmaps.

  • Agile development processes (SCRUM and Kanban) 

  • Strong communication, presentation, documentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Able to self-manage and work independently in a fast-paced environment with dynamic requirements and priorities.
