Job Description

As a Senior Manager, Content Production, you will manage teams, provide production expertise, and lead complex craft executions. This role involves driving holistic planning and execution of seasonal content production, leading global campaigns, and developing staffing and outsource strategies. You will collaborate with various teams to deliver player-focused experiences, improve processes, and ensure high-quality content. Responsibilities include building production plans, overseeing content creation, establishing relationships with game and publishing teams, and leading innovation in production workflows. You will also negotiate deals with external partners and provide mentorship to producers.
Must have:
  • 10+ years as a lead/senior producer in games/marketing/agency/film/vfx/tv.
  • 4+ years of Management/Leadership experience to drive decision making.
  • Expertise in developing production strategies and managing schedules/budgets/staffing.
  • Expertise with Project and Creative Management tools and DAMs.
  • Experience with launching games and/or products in a live service model.
Good to have:
  • PC, Console, and Mobile games marketing experience.
  • 3+ years experience with localization workflows.
  • Hands-on design, video editing, or programming skills.
  • Understanding of Visual Effects/Motion Graphics, Live Action Documentary.

As a Senior Manager, Content Production in Wild Rift Publishing at Riot manages teams that include senior level ICs, supports leadership through production expertise and advocacy, and contributes directly to lead the most complex craft executions. Senior Managers of Content Production at Riot excel in the core competencies of Strategy, Communication and Collaboration, Creative Production and Media Expertise, Leadership and Influence, Innovation and Execution and mentor others within their craft.

You will play a dual role as a leader and individual contributor, driving holistic planning and execution of seasonal content production. You will report to the Publishing Lead on Wild Rift and lead global seasonal and divergent campaigns production while developing innovative staffing and outsource strategies to optimize resources while enhancing the quality and engagement with our output. You will be the go-to person for deep collaboration and transparent communication across Riot's ecosystem, improving process and work flow to drive higher production efficiency and quality. You will work with brand, product, creatives, content operations, localization, and regional teams to deliver consistent player resonated and focused experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Build production plans that unlock and fuse with multiple teams across Riot, advise on budgets, track costs and capture savings with finance partners, manage timelines, stakeholders and partners to ensure successful outcomes for product and content.
  • Oversee every level of content creation whether you are producing directly or leading others across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Establish and elevate relationships with Wild Rift game and publishing teams, and collaborate across multiple disciplines, from aligning strategic vision to facilitating creative meetings for concepts to coordinating final release details with our localization teams around the world.
  • Lead innovation of Production workflows and establish best practices including hands-on process, tools and creative development to improve collaboration and communication and decision making related to content creation across Riot and creative teams
  • Leverage media expertise and seasoned industry relationships to negotiate deals with external partners and agencies that provide Riot with S-Tier quality services at fiscally responsible prices.
  • Deliver industry leading quality on time and on budget, ensuring that all partners look forward to working with you again.
  • Evaluate our content, presenting new ways to improve our craft and our players’ experience with gameplay video and cinematic content.
  • Provide mentorship and career management to unleash a team of top tier producers

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years as a lead/senior producer (or equivalent experience) in games, marketing, agency, film, vfx or tv
  • 4+ years Management/Leadership experience to drive decision making and level up craft
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field
  • Expertise developing production strategies and managing schedules, budgets, staffing plans for creative and production teams, agencies and vendors
  • Expertise with Project and Creative Management tools (ie. Airtable, Ftrack, Frame.io) and DAMs (ie. Iconik)
  • Expertise in a variety of projects types such as Web, Mobile, Video, Brand, Developer Content, Community and Social Content, and Strategic Consulting
  • Experience in creative facilitation and co-creation with Product Teams and/or programmatic development.
  • Understanding of CG animation pipelines, game development pipelines, Marketing campaign pipelines
  • Comfortable using game engine tools to create video content
  • Skilled in contract negotiation and outsource management and procurement
  • Experience with Launching Games and/or products in a live service model
  • Fluent in spoken English and Mandarin.

Desired Qualifications:

  • PC, Console, and Mobile games marketing experience
  • 3+ years Experience with Localization Workflows
  • Hands-on design, video editing, or programming skills (experience with Unreal a bonus)
  • Understanding of Visual Effects/Motion Graphics, Live Action Documentary
