This role is crucial for advancing Salesforce’s marketing data practices by enhancing data quality and governance to help build our next-gen data warehouse. The Senior Manager will be the go-to expert for a data domain, ensuring a cohesive understanding of how to make data more robust and increasing its reach and impact. This position acts as the primary liaison between technical teams and marketing stakeholders, advocating for long-term improvements in data processes, strategy, and product features.
Must have:
  • Enhance data quality and governance for next-gen data warehouse.
  • Act as primary liaison between technical teams and marketing stakeholders.
  • Establish KPIs to monitor product adoption and usage trends.
  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision aligned with business goals.
  • Manage complex SQL queries and oversee data extraction and modeling tasks.
  • Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and data science teams.
  • Work closely with data engineering teams to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Master’s degree with 2 years experience or Bachelor’s with 5 years experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline.
  • Proficiency in Snowflake, SQL, Tableau, Salesforce CRM, dbt, Eloqua, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SMC).

Job Duties:

Play a crucial role in advancing Salesforce’s marketing data practices by enhancing data quality and governance to help build our next-gen data warehouse. Be the go-to expert for a data domain, ensuring a cohesive understanding of how to make our data more robust and increasing its reach and impact. Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and marketing stakeholders to address data needs and challenges, advocating for long-term improvements in data processes, strategy, and product features. Establish KPIs to monitor product adoption and usage trends, analyzing performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvements, and update the roadmap accordingly. Develop and communicate a clear product vision aligned with business goals alongside ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility. Manage complex SQL queries and oversee data extraction and modeling tasks, collaborating with marketing, engineering, and data science teams to ensure successful product development and release cycles. Work closely with data engineering teams to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes, optimizing overall data practices and product performance. *Above address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in the Seattle area: 744 N. 34th St. Seattle, WA 98103, 701 N. 34th St., Seattle, WA 98103, and 929 108th Ave, Bellevue, WA 98004. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in the Seattle area. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field, OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements:

At least 2 years with each of the following: (1) Snowflake; (2) SQL; (3) Tableau; (4) Salesforce CRM; (5) dbt; (6) Eloqua; (7) Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SMC). Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.
