Salesforce is seeking a Senior Manager/Manager for its Global Incentive Compensation (GIC) Strategy and Transformation team. This role will lead the organization's future strategy, long-term projects, and process excellence, developing the GIC ecosystem around systems, tools, and specific processes/policies. The individual will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across various departments to implement executive-set strategies. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working at all organizational levels, possess exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills, and be able to apply both strategic and tactical implementation skills in potentially ambiguous situations. A self-starter attitude, cross-functional collaboration ability, strong working relationship building, and a willingness to mentor and develop talent are crucial. The role involves driving key compensation initiatives, implementing process improvements, identifying automation opportunities, making data-driven recommendations, resolving issues, maintaining operational playbooks, and understanding GIC systems for improvements.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of operational experience, ideally in SAAS Sales Compensation
  • 4+ years of Technical Project Management or Business Analysis experience
  • Proven success in driving projects to completion
  • Strong desire to help others and intellectual curiosity
  • Strong technical/analytical skills with Excel proficiency
  • Effective influencer with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Presentation specialist skills, excelling in PowerPoint
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience
Good to have:
  • Consulting experience (minimum Sr. Consultant)
  • Identify organizational impacts from Lead to Cash domains
  • Develop technical understanding of GIC systems

Description

Salesforce is looking for a talented and dynamic Senior Manager/Manager to join the Global Incentive Compensation (GIC) Strategy and Transformation team. This person will be responsible for leading the Org’s future strategy, long-term projects, process excellence and develop the Org’s ecosystem around systems, tools, and specific processes/policies. You will collaborate cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders across Corporate Development, GBGA, GTM, Sales Strategy and internal GIC partners Design, Operation, and Systems teams to implement strategies set by the Executive team.

The ideal candidate, will be comfortable working at all levels of an organization and possess exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills. This role will require you to use both your strategic as well as tactical implementation skills, sometimes in very ambiguous environments. You will be a self-starter who can work cross functionally and build strong working relationships. This role will require someone with a willingness to be a people manager and develop future talent.

Responsibilities

  • Lead (or contribute to) project teams focusing on key compensation initiatives related to compensation strategy, business process improvement and tool implementation or development
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement improvements related to internal and cross functional processes
  • Be proactive in opportunities for process improvements through automation or integration of systems
  • Take initiative to make project based recommendations and resolve issues using a data-driven approach
  • Write and maintain operational playbooks, identify organizational impacts from across Lead to Cash domains
  • Develop technical understanding of GIC system and processes to identify improvements or gaps

Required Skills/Experience

  • +5 years of operational responsibilities, ideally with SAAS Sales Compensation
  • +4 years of Technical Project Management, Technical Strategic Initiatives, Business Analysis or equivalent technical experience
  • Consulting experience a plus (Sr. Consultant at a minimum)
  • Demonstrated success in driving projects forward successfully to completion
  • Strong desire to help others and intellectual curiosity about people and organization issue
  • Strong technical/ analytical skills with an ability to manipulate data in Excel; knowledge of formulas and pivot tables
  • Effective influencer, communication, and interpersonal skills; great listener
  • Presentation specialist skillset - ability to create visually stunning executive summary documents and presentations that highlight team status & achievements, drive discussion, summarize project details and promote brand. Excels in PowerPoint Presentations.
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven and possess the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Performs well under pressure and can work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on theValues & Behaviors for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
