This role contributes to LSEG’s ambition to be a strategic enabler of sustainable growth. Working in the Group Sustainability team this role plays a critical role in discrete programmes of LSEG’s sustainability strategy. This role is central to LSEG’s development of its human rights approach, and will lead on our preparations to meet the requirements of the upcoming Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD).
Must have:
  • Provide insight and expertise to evolve and embed strategy on human rights and modern slavery management
  • Disclose progress on human rights and modern slavery in line with annual reporting cycle and regulatory requirements
  • Establish and coordinate a CSDDD readiness programme alongside key internal stakeholders, to include budget oversight and project delivery
  • Contribute to internal capacity building on human rights and CSDDD through training and engagement
  • Improve on policies and processes to manage and mitigate human rights risks
  • Manage external agencies and third parties, where necessary, to support strategic delivery for the function
  • Demonstrable knowledge of human rights, modern slavery and related sustainability legislation, industry trends and best practice
  • Knowledge of CSDDD requirement and application
  • Proven experience of sustainability strategy implementation either in a corporate setting or consultancy
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Sustainability expertise and experience within a relevant industry sector such as Financial Services, Professional Services or Technology

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide insight and expertise to evolve and embed strategy on human rights and modern slavery management
  • Disclose progress on human rights and modern slavery in line with annual reporting cycle and regulatory requirements
