The Senior Paid Media Specialist is the go-to expert in social/digital media. They lead social media programs, develop strategies, manage execution, and ensure client program success. The role involves analyzing data, leading digital advertising, and coordinating with third-party vendors. They also contribute to team development and training. The Specialist will create and oversee social media strategies, including content and advertising initiatives. They will also review analytics to constantly improve results and meet program KPIs. They will effectively present ideas and recommendations to internal and external clients. They must manage programs, and ensure programs meet and exceed expectations.
Must have:
  • 5+ years in digital/social media/advertising.
  • Experience managing projects and client relationships.
  • Knowledge of social media and content marketing trends.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media and CRM platforms.
  • Experience developing recommendations for social media activations and KPIs.

POSITION SUMMARY

Senior Paid Media Specialists are the go-to experts in all things social/digital, and the ultimate brand champion and social media program lead on select customer accounts. As a more seasoned expert, they are not only a great resource for their customers, but for fellow team members as well. Their goal is to deliver exceptional quality strategy, industry insights, programming, results, and recommendations to maintain and grow customer relationships, and play an important role in supporting departmental initiatives.

JOB DUTIES

  • *Acts as the primary point of contact and program lead for select Social Media scopes (~1-3) depending on size/complexity

  • *Develops and oversees the implementation of integrated social media strategies and roadmaps, including content and advertising strategies, and program KPIs

  • *Ensures the flawless execution of customer programs by championing exceptional quality in every aspect of program delivery and internal/external communication, including supporting junior team members and ensuring program KPIs are being met and exceeded

  • *Demonstrates effective knowledge of social media innovations, technology/digital trends and customers’ target consumers.

  • *Reviews, evaluates and reports on client social media analytics and performance to continuously improve results and meet program KPIs

  • *Leads digital ad buying, optimization and reporting across several social and digital channels

  • *Leads the planning and execution of other digital/communications-based programming such as influencer, email and Amazon marketing, as well as native/ display advertising, etc.

  • *Proactively supports sales activity on customer Social Media programs, including up­selling, cross-selling and customer program kick-offs and recommendations

  • *Supports and/or leads effective budget development, revenue tracking and invoicing as per company protocol

  • *As a more seasoned member of the team, supports departmental initiatives which may include:

  •     Supporting overall team development, learning, mentorship and training of new team members

  •     Acting as a trusted resource for the team on social media/digital advertising best practices and strategic recommendations

  •     Updating internal resources and training materials

  •     Overseeing key vendor relationships for the department

  • *Thinks strategically and anticipates problems and opportunities

  • *Coordinates with necessary third-¬party agencies/vendors to carry out customer strategies on time and budget

  • Supports new business opportunities where relevant

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5+ years in digital, social media and/or advertising across B2B and B2C companies

  • Experience successfully managing projects and growing relationships with enterprise-level clients, and working with cross-functional teams and agency partners

  • Knowledgeable and passionate about current communications, social and content marketing trends

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media, digital and CRM platforms and best practices, with a passion for creating meaningful, relevant, and effective content that lives on these channels

  • Experience developing strategic recommendations/proposals for social media and digital activations (paid/organic) and KPIs to effectively measure success

  • Proven experience accurately reporting and analyzing numbers and metrics

  • Proficient in social measurement tools (ex. Sprout Social, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Sysomos, native platform business/ad managers, etc.) and paid social media advertising on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Snapchat, Tik Tok, Google Analytics/AdWords

  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to deliver high quality work, multi-¬task and project manage/manage deadlines, and delegate tasks with ease

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication

  • Effectively presents ideas and recommendations to internal team and to external clients with the ability to generate interest and excitement

  • Proven experience effectively mentoring and overseeing the work of fellow account team members

  • Solution-oriented with a strategic mindset

  • Team player, able to work collaboratively cross-¬department and communicate with management

  • Exceptionally results-driven, responsible and accountable

  • Ability to actively listen and liaise with clients in a professional manner, takes pride in exceptional customer service

  • Active participant and leader in team settings including client working sessions, internal brainstorming and training

  • Experience with email marketing strategy, execution, and deployment

  • Proven experience in strategic and creative planning for e-commerce platforms like Amazon

  • Google AdWords Certification is a bonus

  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office 365 tools such as (but not limited to) Word, Excel and PowerPoint, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams


WORKING CONDITIONS

Office Environment

The salary range for this position is CAD 60k minimum - CAD 95k maximum per annum. Compensation varies depending on location, job-related factors such as experience, responsibilities, and business needs.
