Salesforce is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape the future of administration and managing Slack at scale for enterprise clients. The role involves creating simple, flexible, and user-friendly administration features that meet organizational needs for settings, security, and compliance. Responsibilities include focusing on information architecture, building best-in-class patterns, and enhancing user experiences for large customers. The designer will also contribute to the design system, conduct design reviews, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure quality implementation and a consistent user experience.
Must have:
  • 4+ years of experience in Product Design for enterprise SaaS tools
  • Designed intuitive user experiences for complex configurations
  • Outstanding portfolio showcasing product ideation and user-centered experiences
  • Experience with usable, accessible, and scalable design solutions
  • Experience rapidly prototyping concepts
  • Understanding of design dependencies and technologies

Admins are responsible for essential aspects across all of Slack's features to make sure Slack works smoothly for their end-users. What you'll be doing

  • Focusing on projects to help our customers administer Slack across all plans with a focus on scaling up to large enterprise customers with a focus on clear and comprehensible information architecture, building best in class patterns, and improving the experience to customer needs for our largest customers.
  • Ensuring the Slack’s design organization is delivering consistent, cohesive, and accessible work to their cross functional partners through advocacy, evangelism, and investing in robust documentation of our design system.
  • Ideation and prototyping to improve the the lives of administrators and scaling
  • Reviewing, auditing, and critiquing your peers design work through open office hours and asynchronous workflows.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering partners to represent the design team, facilitate design discussions, ensure quality implementation, and play an active role in prioritization and planning.
  • Work in the open, comfortably sharing your contributions to solicit feedback from your peers, executives, and cross functional partners.

What you should have

  • 4+ years of experience in an individual contributor role, on a Product Design team with a focus on building experiences for enterprise SaaS tools and dashboards.
  • Designed intuitive user experiences that translated complex configurations into simple, guided workflows.
  • An outstanding portfolio, showcasing excellent application of product ideation, user centered experiences, and visual design execution.
  • Demonstration of experience and knowledge of building usable, accessible, and scalable designs solutions that solve for a wide array of administration archetypes.
  • Examples of varying approaches of rapidly prototype concepts individually through design tools, or in close collaboration with engineers, with the goal of bringing alignment of stakeholders of proposed solutions.
  • A well displayed understanding of dependencies between design, client and backend technologies and standards.
  • Experience that leverages using and maintaining design systems that are used in parallel by designers and engineers.
  • Collaborating and coordinating across multiple teams and their respective cross-functional partners

Nice to have:

  • Experience in an Enterprise SaaS tool or designing for scale.
  • Experience working with security, compliance, or analytics features
  • Working on personal projects that demonstrate prototyping with code or building your own applications.
