As a Senior Product Manager for Platform at G-P, you will shape platform strategy and drive the success of foundational products. This role involves navigating technical and business aspects to develop scalable, high-performing platform solutions that address customer problems and promote market adoption. You will communicate effectively across all functional areas, evangelizing your product area. Must have:
  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of platform products.
  • Work closely with engineering to define platform architecture, APIs, and integrations.
  • Drive the product roadmap for platform services.
  • Partner with engineering to design solutions on modern architectures.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools and insights to improve workflows.
  • Understand challenges of platform product management.
  • Collaborate with business teams on selling strategy.
  • Gather and synthesize market intelligence, trends, and feedback.
  • Collaborate across functions (engineering, marketing, sales, legal, UX, customer success, support).
  • Act as a product evangelist.
  • Proven experience managing platform or infrastructure products.
  • Deep familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), SaaS, Microservices, Serverless, Event-Driven Architectures, API-first design.
  • Familiarity with AI application in product management workflows.
  • Ability to work closely with internal customers, especially PMs of business applications.
  • Excellent skills in managing and prioritizing requirements.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Expertise in creating detailed product requirement documents (PRDs) and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
  • Proficiency in defining and tracking KPIs and metrics.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Solid technical foundation, preferably a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

About this Position

As a Senior Product Manager for Platform at G-P, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our platform strategy and driving the success of products that form the foundation for our service offerings. You will navigate both the technical and business aspects of product management, focusing on developing scalable, high-performing platform solutions that address real customer problems and promote broad market adoption.

You will be expected to communicate effectively with all functional areas within the company while serving as both internal and external evangelist for your product area. What you'll do:

Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of our platform products, from strategic planning to tactical activities, with a focus on creating a robust, scalable, and innovative platform ecosystem.

Work closely with engineering teams to define platform architecture, APIs, and integrations, ensuring alignment with business and user needs.

Drive the product roadmap for platform services, prioritizing features and enhancements that maximize value for both internal and external users.

Partner with engineering to design solutions built on modern architectures including Cloud-native, SaaS, Microservices, Serverless, and Event-Driven patterns.

Leverage AI-powered tools and insights where applicable to improve workflows, analyze data, and enhance decision-making across the product lifecycle.

Understand and articulate the unique challenges and opportunities of platform product management, including multi-tenancy, extensibility, scalability, and integration with third-party services.

Collaborate with business teams to understand their selling strategy and build a platform foundation that enables them to experiment, evolve, and scale their offerings effectively.

Gather and synthesize market intelligence, trends in the platform and AI space, and feedback from customers and partners to inform product strategy.

Collaborate across functions, building strong relationships with engineering, marketing, sales, legal, UX, customer success, and support teams to ensure a cohesive product strategy.

Act as a product evangelist, both internally and externally, articulating the vision and value proposition of our platform products.

What we're looking for:

Product Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing platform or infrastructure products, with a strong ability to build and scale in dynamic environments.

Technical Depth: Deep familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), SaaS business models, Microservices, Serverless computing, Event-Driven Architectures, and API-first design principles. Ability to translate technical possibilities into product outcomes.

AI Awareness and Productivity Mindset: Familiarity with how AI can be applied to product management workflows and platform use cases. Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to boost efficiency, explore opportunities, and contribute to AI-driven initiatives when needed.

Internal Stakeholder Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work closely with internal customers, especially PMs of business applications. Skilled in building strong relationships, understanding their needs, and effectively communicating to ensure alignment.

Prioritization and Decision-Making: Excellent skills in managing and prioritizing requirements, particularly in situations with conflicting needs. Ability to balance multiple priorities and make strategic, value-driven decisions.

Effective Communication: Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse cross-functional teams and providing clear updates and feedback loops.

Documentation and Requirements: Expertise in creating detailed and clear product requirement documents (PRDs) and specifications, ensuring comprehensive and understandable documentation.

Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking. Proficient in analyzing market trends and user feedback to inform product strategy.

Data-Driven Approach: Proficiency in defining and tracking KPIs and metrics to measure platform performance and drive continuous improvement.

Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability.

Educational Background: Solid technical foundation, preferably with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees (M.S. or MBA) are a plus.
