Job Summary

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced Senior QA Software Engineer with a strong networking background to join the System Ethernet QA Team. This role involves reviewing architectural designs, designing and implementing end-to-end tests for new features, reporting and debugging bugs, and performing various system tests. The engineer will also design, implement, and maintain automated tests and framework APIs using Python, ensuring the quality of NVIDIA Ethernet Switches solutions.

Must Have

  • Review Arch design and requirements for new features
  • Design and implement end-to-end tests for new features
  • Report and document bugs, assist in reproducing and debugging issues, verify R&D bug fixes, and raise unresolved issues
  • Perform various system tests (regression, performance, functional, security, etc.)
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests and framework APIs in Python
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in QA and/or Networking
  • Confirmed networking knowledge and hands-on experience (switching & routing)
  • Confident understanding of BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, OSPF, PIM/IGMP, QoS (PFC, ECN, RoCE)
  • Automation / Scripting skills and experience in Python and Linux Bash
  • Ability to handle several tasks in parallel, effectively prioritize and responsibly complete them
  • Clear verbal and written communication, proficient written and spoken English

Good to Have

  • CCNP/CCIE certification, or similar certifications demonstrating networking expertise
  • Advanced experience with Python automation and Git-based source control tools for enterprise-scale projects
  • In-depth Linux and Linux kernel knowledge (LPIC-2 level)
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization environments (Linux KVM, ESXi, Docker)

We are seeking an experienced and engaged Senior QA SW Engineer with strong background in Networking to join the System Ethernet QA Team! This role combines manual testing expertise with Python-based automation skills to test and qualify the NVIDIA Ethernet Switches solutions. What you'll be doing:

  • Review the Arch design and requirements for new features introduced in the product.
  • Design and implement end-to-end tests for new features, including GA and maintenance releases.
  • Report and document bugs, assist in reproducing and debugging issues, verify R&D bug fixes, and raise unresolved issues.
  • Perform various system tests (regression, performance, functional, security, etc.).
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests and framework APIs in Python.

What we need to see:

  • Practical/BA or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in QA and/or Networking.
  • Confirmed networking knowledge and hands-on experience (switching & routing).
  • Confident understanding of the following protocol: BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, OSPF. Multicast features like PIM/IGMP. QoS features like PFC, ECN, RoCE and more.
  • Automation / Scripting skills and experience in Python and Linux Bash.
  • Ability to handle several tasks in parallel. Effectively prioritize and responsibly complete them.
  • Clear verbal and written communication, proficient written and spoken English

Ways to stand out from the crowd:
