Job Summary

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Skin Concept Artist to join Brawl Stars to contribute to the development and delivery of 2D skin concepts for our characters. As a Senior Skin Concept Artist, you will be at the heart of our art production, working closely with our Art Director and other artists in the team. This role involves planning the skin themes, be it around the release of a new Brawler, events or collaborations. Even though you would be able to design Cosmetics like Skins yourself from time to time, most of the concepts are created by our external artists due to the high amount of content for each update. This means your main job would be to provide them with clear direction and feedback, ensuring the art supports the game's narrative, aesthetics, and gameplay objectives. All in all, we’re looking for a strong communicator who takes ownership, is passionate about our games, and is continuously striving for better performance.
Must have:
  • Collaborate closely with concept artist on skin concepts, from initial sketches to final turnarounds.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback and guidance to external concept artists.
  • Collaborate with development team to ensure concepts align with game mechanics and story.
  • Manage concept art workflows to meet production timelines and milestones.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external artists and studios.
  • 6+ years of experience as a concept artist with a strong portfolio showcasing stylized characters.
  • Must be a clear and concise communicator, able to deliver creative feedback and actionable guidance.
  • Strong understanding of composition, color theory, and visual storytelling.
  • Passion for mobile games and a drive to create visually appealing content.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of 3D workflows
Perks:
  • Compensation and benefits structured for professional growth and best experience.
  • Perceiving you as a human being, not a resource.
  • Proactive, independent teams with freedom to act.
  • Good care of people, providing compensation, work environment, and resources.
  • Relocation assistance for you and your family to Helsinki.

You Are Not Your Job Title

Working with us means you won’t need to focus on chasing titles or climbing ladders. We’ve decided that our internal job titles don’t include prefixes like senior, junior, principal, or director. Instead, we embrace our non-hierarchical culture, allowing us to concentrate on what truly matters: doing what’s best for our players. About The Company

We believe games have the power to bring people around the world together and closer to each other. We work to create new, innovative, memorable experiences no one has played before. This is why we try to design games that excite wide and diverse player communities as well as to expand the audience for otherwise smaller “niche” game concepts. We’ve built a company of proactive and independent teams with the freedom to do what they think is best for their players, our games and the company at large.
