A Day in the Life
AppLovin Dev Services Engineering is seeking an experienced front-end or full-stack software engineer to join our team developing our next-generation of customer support, localization, ecommerce and community engagement applications/services.
The Impact You’ll Make
- Developing primarily (but not exclusively) in React.js and TypeScript
- Design, build, and enhance existing applications, as well as help architect new applications and services from the ground up.
- Collaborate with our product and UX partners across our organization, as well as other game studios, to deliver best-in-class internal and customer-facing applications.
- Mentor junior developers with coding, architecture, and evangelizing our best practices and principles to help build a robust development team.
- Participate in code and design reviews with the team.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software engineering work experience
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field/experience
- Proficient in front-end web development concepts & best practices
- Proficient in JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Proficient in React.js and its ecosystem
- Proficient in writing efficient, scalable CSS (and using tools like Sass)
- Proficient in unit testing web applications with unit tests (Jest & React Testing Library)
- Experience with Node.js application frameworks (Next.js, NestJS, etc.)
- Experience with designing scalable, cloud-based applications and services in a CI/CD environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with microservice architecture & API design
- Experience with ecommerce integration and payment processing
- Experience with web application performance troubleshooting, optimization and reporting
- Experience with NPM library design and delivery
- Experience with web application localization
- Experience with MySQL (or similar RDBMS)
- Experience with PHP web development using Laravel
