Job Description

The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain embedded software for automotive applications, utilizing expertise in embedded systems, RTOS, and automotive communication protocols. This role involves integrating software with microcontroller architectures, following standards like AUTOSAR and ASPICE, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include leading testing, debugging, managing requirements with DOORS, and ensuring compliance with automotive development processes.

Must Have:
  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions for automotive applications
  • Leverage expertise in embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
  • Implement automotive communication protocols and integrate software modules with microcontroller architectures
  • Integrate embedded software development activities into the automotive product development process, following AUTOSAR and ASPICE
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and develop software architectures
  • Lead testing and debugging efforts for embedded software components, utilizing Vector CANalyzer and CANoe
  • Manage embedded software requirements using tools like DOORS
  • Utilize version control systems such as Git and collaboration platforms like JIRA and Gerrit
  • Ensure compliance with automotive product development processes and standards such as ASPICE
  • Conduct code reviews, perform static analysis, and contribute to quality assurance activities
  • Bachelor’s degree or Masters degree in engineering discipline (IT/EE/EC/CS/Instrumentation/Robotics)
  • Hands-on experience in embedded SW development using C for 16/32-bit micros (Infineon, NXP, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience in cross compilers, debuggers/emulators
  • Hands-on experience in device driver development
  • Hands-on experience in Autosar methodologies and workflows
  • Hands-on experience in Power Mode, UDS, Diagnostics, Bootloader
  • Hands-on experience in communication protocols (CAN/LIN/Flexray/Ethernet) and tools (CANalyzer, CANoe)
  • Experience in Verification tools (Static analysis tools, Unit Testing tools)
  • Hands-on experience in handling measurement tools (Oscilloscope, Current probe, Signal generators)
  • Hands-on experience in multi core and multi domain systems

Your Role

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions for automotive applications, leveraging expertise in embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Implement automotive communication protocols and integrate software modules with microcontroller architectures to ensure seamless operation within vehicle systems.
  • Integrate embedded software development activities into the automotive product development process, following established procedures and standards such as AUTOSAR and ASPICE.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, develop software architectures, and deliver high-quality embedded software solutions in alignment with project objectives.
  • Lead testing and debugging efforts for embedded software components, utilizing tools like Vector CANalyzer and CANoe to analyze communication protocols and verify system behavior.
  • Manage embedded software requirements using tools like DOORS, ensuring traceability and alignment with project goals and customer needs.
  • Document software design specifications, test plans, and validation reports to support the development and verification of embedded software solutions.
  • Utilize version control systems such as Git and collaboration platforms like JIRA and Gerrit to manage software repositories and facilitate team collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive product development processes and standards such as ASPICE, adhering to established guidelines and procedures throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Conduct code reviews, perform static analysis, and contribute to quality assurance activities to validate the integrity and safety of embedded software implementations.

Your Background

Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Masters degree in engineering discipline (IT/EE/EC/CS/Instrumentation/Robotics).
  • Hands on Experience in embedded SW development using C for 16/32-bit micros – Infineon, NXP, etc
  • Hands on experience in cross compilers, debuggers/emulators
  • Hands on experience in device driver development
  • Hands on experience in Autosar methodologies and workflows
