Job Summary
Aptiv is seeking a Senior Technical Lead for BSP Engineering to contribute to advanced safety systems and electrification solutions. This role involves directing SW development processes, defining system architecture, and collaborating with customers and remote teams. Key responsibilities include collecting requirements, designing SW modules, and performing tests. The ideal candidate will mentor technical problems and ensure tasks align with Aptiv's quality standards and schedules.
Must Have
- Direct SW development process according to Aptiv standards
- Collect and analyze SW requirements
- Support SW architecture development and design documentation
- Design and test SW modules
- Support System Engineer in defining system architecture
- Maintain customer contact for software tasks
- Mentor technical problems and ensure quality standards
- Lead SW activities during project development
- Implement and maintain BSPs for automotive ECUs
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on requirements
- Customize and configure BSP components (drivers, bootloaders)
- Work with various OS (Linux, QNX, FreeRTOS, VxWorks)
- Ensure quality and functional safety (ASPICE, static analysis, testing)
- Integrate tools like JIRA and Polarion
- B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/MSc in Electronics or Computer Science
- 14+ years experience in embedded systems and BSP development
- Expertise in microcontrollers and processors programming
- Experience with SW project lifecycles (Aptiv or similar)
- Team oriented

Position Overview:
- Giving direction to follow existing Aptiv standards in SW development process:
- Collecting and analyzing SW requirements,
- Support SW Architect in developing SW architecture,
- Preparing SW design documentation,
- Designing SW modules,
- Preparing and performing tests to verify SW work products.
- Supporting System Engineer to define system architecture.
- Keeping contacts with customers in area of software tasks.
- Play a role of mentor in solving technical problems.
- Force to accomplish tasks in accordance with Aptiv quality standards and schedules.
- Co-ordination and/or leading SW activities during project development.
- Support co-operation with local and remote teams.
- Further development of professional qualifications.
- Support innovation and organization programs.

Technical Skills:
- Utilize expertise in embedded systems design and development to implement and maintain Board Support Packages (BSPs) for automotive electronic control units (ECUs).
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define hardware requirements and specifications, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance of BSPs on target hardware platforms.
- Customize and configure BSP components such as device drivers, bootloaders to meet specific project requirements and ECU specifications.
- Implement BSPs for Linus or QNX or FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS or VxWorks operating systems, ensuring seamless integration and compatibility with automotive software stacks and applications.
- Configure kernel parameters, device drivers, and system utilities to support ECU functionality and meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements.
- Configure and integrate tools such as JIRA and Polarion to streamline development workflows and ensure software quality and reliability.
- Conduct BSP verification activities and adhere to Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process requirements for software development and quality assurance.
- Perform static analysis, unit testing, and integration testing of BSP components to verify compliance with functional safety standards and ECU specifications.
Requirements and Experience:
Required:
- B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/MSc degree in Electronics or Computer Science or related
- 14+ years of experience in the technical skills mentioned
- Great expert in a specific technical domain
- Prior experience in designing and programming microcontrollers and processors
- Three SW project lifecycles at Aptiv or a company with a similar engineering process
- Very good knowledge of tools for programming microcontrollers and microprocessors
- Team oriented
- Honesty in relation with company, customers and co-workers
Preferred:
- Good in leadership
- Availability as required
- Experience in coordinating SW project
