Job Summary

The Apple Services Engineering team is responsible for powering services like the App Store, Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and Apple Books on a massive scale. This role focuses on the Rights & Pricing engineering team, which manages distribution rights by country, pricing calculations, and partner onboarding processes. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate on complex problems, develop innovative solutions, modernize codebases, maintain test automation, support releases, and mentor junior engineers. You will also partner with teams across Apple to support business growth.

Must Have

5+ years of experience developing software in Java
Experience with distributed NoSQL and relational databases
Experience programming multi-threaded synchronous and asynchronous applications
Experience developing and designing for large-scale distributed systems
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience

Good to Have

Experience with Scala
Experience with messaging platforms
Experience with Unix/Unix-like operating systems

The Rights & Pricing engineering team provides the Apple Services platform for distribution rights by country, calculation and management of prices including retail, offers, wholesale, and tax. Rights & Pricing also includes Partner Onboarding which includes the vendor application process, signing of digital contracts, collection of bank account and tax information, and business systems that manage the presentation layers of payments, invoicing, and financial reporting. This is a key team for Apple Services Engineering! At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $212,000 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
