Job Summary

Lambda is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the SI Partnership team within the Product Engineering organization. This role focuses on enabling the world's largest Superintelligence companies to successfully integrate their workloads on Lambda’s platform, and making these tooling and improvements available to all Lambda’s enterprise customers. The engineer will build end-to-end features for Lambda Cloud, contributing to both frontend and backend, collaborating with various internal teams and directly with superintelligence customer’s engineering teams, and owning production features and systems, including incident response and observability.

Must Have

  • Experience in modern web application frontends: responsive web apps using TypeScript, React (or equivalent experience in Vue or Svelte), HTML and CSS, and Vite.
  • Backend experience with business-critical services using Python, Unix/Command line, Django or FastAPI, and Postgres.
  • Proven experience owning complex features end to end, from defining the problem with Product, to GA release and measuring success criteria, in highly ambiguous environments, under tight deadlines.
  • Proven experience to communicate trade-offs in scoping and timelines.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining developer-facing APIs and documentation.
  • Experience with CI/CD: Automation around testing and deployment.
  • Experience with Reliability & Observability: Logging, alerting, and building highly available systems.
  • Experience with Cloud Native Services: AWS, Okta, Cloudflare, etc.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Atlantis, Crossplane, etc.).
  • Experience in ML, AI, or data science.
  • Application security and web hardening.
  • Engineering leadership or mentorship experience.

*Note: This position requires presence in our San Francisco, San Jose, or Bellevue office location 4 days per week; Lambda’s designated work from home day is currently Tuesday.

What The Role is About

SI Partnership is Lambda’s missing function team. We’re a part of the Product Engineering organization — we work on customer-facing APIs and UIs, contribute to Lambda’s core product offerings and developer tooling. SI Partnerships charter is to enable world’s largest Superintelligence companies to successfully integrate their workloads on Lambda’s platform, and make all our tooling and improvements available to all Lambda’s enterprise customers as part of our core Cloud Platform.

You’ll find yourself working directly with engineering and business teams across Lambda and our largest customers, on the cutting edge features that the industry at large is just starting to figure out.

What You’ll Do

  • Build end to end features for Lambda Cloud.
  • Contribute both frontend and backend code to existing and new features.
  • Collaborate with Lambda Product Engineering, Platform, and Infrastructure teams to deliver solutions that cut through the stack.
  • Work with a team of Product Managers to design, scope, and deliver features that are critical to our most important customer success, without compromising on our product quality.
  • Collaborate with Lambda Support and other Operations teams to deliver the best possible experience for our customers.
  • Partner directly with superintelligence customer’s engineering teams.
  • Own production features and systems, participate in incident response rotations. Design and implement observability and maintenance processes for the new features we build.

You

Salary Range Information

The annual salary range for this position has been set based on market data and other factors. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
