We are looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager who can guide a team in bringing unique ideas to life. This role requires a strong understanding of technology and its potential to create compelling user experiences. The candidate should be able to identify valuable technologies, advocate for innovative ideas, and effectively communicate across different teams. This role involves working on prototypes, proof of concepts, and sales pitches, requiring clear communication, understanding of current platform capabilities, cutting-edge ML technology, a design sense, and an ability to advocate for ideas and for the team. A background in software engineering or application design is ideal.
Must have:
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals or application design.
- Experience in leading and guiding a team.
Job Details
We are looking for somebody who has a strong opinion about what makes for unique and compelling ideas, and can help guide a team in making those ideas real. A successful candidate will be able to live at the intersection of technology and experience. They will need to understand which technologies are worth developing because they could offer powerful new experiences to our users - and how to push for unique, compelling new experiences that push technology forward. We work across organizational scales, internally with small teams, across our entire team, and across the company. The products we build are part prototype, part proof of concept and part sales pitch, so clear communication, understanding of current platform capabilities, cutting edge ML technology, a design sense, and an ability to advocate for ideas and for the team are all key skills for this role. This role requires a diverse skillset and leading a team to create innovative products. A background in software engineering fundamentals, or application design would be ideal.
