Job Description

The Senior Specialist, Paid Search will join the Search & Display Media team, focusing on campaign management and optimization. Responsibilities include expanding customer acquisition through paid search, handling campaign implementation, ensuring campaigns operate within budget, and analyzing performance. The role requires close collaboration with analytics and insights functions, proactive identification of customer friction points, and the preparation of detailed reports. The candidate will act as the primary point of contact for paid search matters and stay updated on the latest trends. They will also drive incremental sales with an incremental budget by analyzing competitor paid search strategies to find opportunities and areas for improvement.
Must have:
  • 4+ years’ experience managing paid search campaigns.
  • Expertise in managing and optimizing PPC campaigns across search engines.
  • Experience with managing and handling relationships with specialist agencies.
  • Strong understanding of keyword research, bid management, and campaign analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
Good to have:
  • In-depth knowledge of web analytics tools, particularly Adobe Analytics & Google Analytics
  • Hands-on experience with PPC management tools and practices, including A/B testing
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data & generate actionable insights.
  • Proficiency using Excel, using pivot tables to analyse data.
  • Putting together presentations in PowerPoint.

Role Description:

We are seeking a Senior Specialist, Paid Search to join our team as part of the Search & Display Media team. You’ll have attention to detail, tenacity, and a focus on results, working patiently with cross-organisational teams. You’ll see the size of this organisation, the number of collaborators and the complexity of our products as a great opportunity to play a critical role in an increasingly successful international business. This role requires a deep understanding of paid search advertising, a data-driven mentality, and a creative approach to campaign management. The ideal candidate will have a consistent track record of driving successful paid search initiatives that meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expand our customer acquisition strategy through the paid search channel.
  • Handle campaign implementation, ongoing management and optimisation.
  • You’ll directly run the day-to-day and long-term relationship of a paid media agency who will serve as our execution and delivery arm.
  • Ensure all campaigns operate to agreed budget and return on investment.
  • Tracking & understanding performance beyond website conversions, drilling into post conversion data to understand the sales funnel.
  • Establish and maintain a clear Test and Learn plan to increase reach, optimise click-through rate, optimise conversion rate and maximise customer lifetime value.
  • Work closely with the analytics and insights functions to measure and validate the incrementality of existing and new initiatives.
  • Proactively build cases to drive incremental sales with an incremental budget.
  • Analyse competitor paid search strategies to find opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Deliver daily/weekly/monthly and ad-hoc reports as advised.
  • Actively identify customer friction points and propose improvements. Create and share value cases with relevant partners to influence, get the agreement and agree on a timeline for solution implementation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for paid search-related matters across the organization. Prepare and present detailed reports and PowerPoint presentations on campaign performance, strategies, and insights to business partners, including senior leadership.
  • Work with internal partners to enhance overall performance of the Digital Marketing Team.
  • Stay updated with the latest paid search trends, tools, and standard methodologies to ensure ongoing optimization and innovation.

Candidate Profile / Key Skills:

  • 4+ years’ experience managing paid search campaigns.
  • A passion for developing and implementing paid search strategies that drive traffic, conversions, and return on investment, with the ability to report performance against business metrics
  • Expertise in managing and optimizing PPC campaigns across Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other search engines
  • Proven track record to collaborate and handle relationships with specialist agencies to deliver successful paid search campaigns
  • Strong understanding of keyword research, bid management, and campaign performance analysis
  • In-depth knowledge of web analytics tools, particularly Adobe Analytics & Google Analytics to track and improve campaign performance
  • Hands-on experience with PPC management tools and practices, including A/B testing, ad copy creation, and landing page optimisation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Strong analytical, prioritisation, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data & generate actionable insights.
  • Proficiency using Excel, using pivot tables to analyse data.
  • Putting together presentations in PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with SEM tools such as SEMrush or Moz
  • Experience with conversion rate optimisation (CRO) and understanding of user experience (UX) principles
  • Knowledge of advanced targeting and remarketing strategies
  • Experience in large-scale digital marketing projects or campaigns, including cross-functional collaboration with creative and technical teams
