This role falls within the EUC Voice and Video team reporting to the EMEA Regional Manager of Infrastructure, Cloud & Engineering, based in London. The role is focused on providing a day-to-day service for AV/VC requirements to staff. Responsibilities will comprise of both BAU & Project work.
- Deliver a professional service to our workforce for AV/VC requirements including potential meet & greet with our stakeholders to ensure the rooms have been setup ready for meetings
- Have exceptional AV engineering skills related to enterprise-scale system design, deployment, and management of standard meeting rooms and large event spaces involving control systems, DSPs, AVoIP, audio over IP, digital signage/IPTV, as well as Cloud based VC solutions
- Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Teams Meeting Room environment and management tools such as Microsoft Pro Portal, Teams Admin Centre.
- Ability to troubleshoot and mitigate AV related issue ahead of time, particularly for large scale Town Halls and global events.
- Strong technical understanding and AV design and implementation from concept to production environment.
- Understanding of various video and audio standards and their respective application to include acoustic treatment and sound-video processing.
- Maintaining bookings & requests from our stake holders in a timely manner and making sure any escalations are handled accordingly
- Carrying out daily checks / benchmark testing on all aspects of AV spaces, raising faults with 3rd party vendors.
- Service driven, customer focused, enjoys resolving problems and user interaction.
- Liaise with internal (local/global) teams to help support issues and tests which require our attention
- Monitor, report and recommend improvements in the overall AV support service.
- Core understanding of digital signage applications, large video walls, AV rack building, Network topology and service application to include vendors such as Qsys, CISCO, Poly, AppSpace, Shure, Sennheiser, NEC and Audio Dante.
- Comprehensive understanding of O365 platform.
- Exceptionally high standards to ensure system reliability and to communicate to key personnel on a technical level key areas of the business relating to best-in-class AV practices and protocols.
Candidate Profile / Key Skills
- Experience in supporting AV/VC environments- CTS/AVIXA/Qsys/Dante certification preferred
- Knowledge of MS Teams Meeting Rooms and O365 environment
- Vendor management – Riase tickets, manage and set expectations chase SLA’s from vendors like Kinly, NEC, Polycom, Cisco etc
- Strong understanding of IT support processes and escalation procedures.
- Knowledge of administering and maintaining MS teams room conferencing devices, specifically Poly (HP) devices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Perform thorough root cause analysis, best practice troubleshooting techniques and processes, and procedures as defined by hardware/software vendors and personal experience.
