Are you a Java expert with a passion for supporting enterprise applications and solving real-world business challenges? At Endava, we're expanding our Application Management Support (AMS) capabilities to support one of our key clients in the financial sector, and we’re looking for a Java Application Support Engineer with experience or interest in Documentum, a leading enterprise content management platform.
In this role, you’ll help ensure the stability, reliability, and evolution of mission-critical Documentum-based systems. From implementing new features to resolving complex issues and working hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams, you’ll play a central role in delivering consistent value to our client.
What You'll Do
- Support and enhance applications built on or integrated with Documentum
- Implement new functionalities required by the business
- Investigate and resolve defects, ensuring timely fixes with minimal impact
- Perform functional testing on implemented changes
- Collaborate with QA, Product, DevOps, and release teams to prioritize and resolve issues efficiently
- Write secure, maintainable Java code aligned with performance and scalability needs
- Monitor application health and support deployment activities
- Provide clear, consistent updates on task progress and blockers
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on Java experience, ideally supporting enterprise systems
- Experience working with Documentum or other ECM platforms is a big plus
- Strong SQL and familiarity with relational databases like Oracle, MS SQL, or PostgreSQL
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and web-based backend systems
- Background in application support, troubleshooting, or system administration
- Solid understanding of software design principles (SOLID, design patterns, refactoring)
- Awareness of project lifecycle and operational workflows
- Strong communication, time management, and client-facing skills
- Proactive problem-solving mindset and a collaborative spirit
