Job Description

As a Senior Systems Engineer at Veeam, you will be responsible for conducting customer presentations and demonstrations, implementing and managing Proof of Concepts (POCs), supporting lead generation activities, and collaborating with customers and partners to translate business objectives into technical requirements. You will provide technical expertise on data protection, work closely with the sales department to secure new partners and customers, and provide pre-sales support. The role requires strong presentation and communication skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly. You'll also mentor junior staff and guide others in resolving complex issues, ensuring the protection and availability of data for customers.

Must have:

5+ years of solution sales experience
Experience with virtualization technologies
Strong presentation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Good to have:

Data Protection experience
Experience with monitoring tools like System Center

Conduct live and virtual customer meeting presentations and demonstrations
Implement and manage POCs to technical closure
Support lead generation activities such as events, webinars, user groups, etc.
Collaborate with the customer/partner to establish and translate business objectives into technical requirements
Independently consult with customer base to provide technical expertise on data protection
Work closely with the sales department to secure new partners and customers
Work closely with Product Management to provide customer feedback
Providing pre-sales support to customers as they evaluate Veeam software
Trains/mentors junior staff
Guides others in resolving complex issues in specialized area based on existing solutions or procedures

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or a combination of education and experience will be considered)
Five or more years of solution sales experience
Data Protection experience strongly desired
Demonstrated experience with virtualisation technologies
Experience working with monitoring tools such as System Center is a bonus
Experience in data life cycle management with IT audit requirements
Strong presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to present to groups
Ability to work independently with limited direction in a fast-paced environment; must be a high-energy, motivated self-starter and be able to learn new technologies quickly
Ability to adapt to changes in roles and responsibilities
Ability to travel within the region as required
