If you are passionate about technology and thrive in a dynamic environment, we want you on our team! Fliff is seeking a skilled Senior Tech Lead Manager to join our growing team. You’ll lead a small team of engineers while still contributing significantly as an individual contributor. This role is ideal for someone who is ready to start taking on management responsibilities while continuing to be hands-on in software development.
The Role
- Lead a team of ~4 engineers, providing technical guidance and support
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance distributed systems using Python and Django
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Architect and implement scalable solutions to handle large volumes of traffic
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Optimize backend systems for maximum performance, scalability, and reliability
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure software quality and reliability
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and provide career development guidance
- Balance technical leadership and management duties with individual coding responsibilities
Experience Required
- 7+ years of overall software development experience
- Experience leading small teams or mentoring junior engineers
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices
- Proficiency in Python and Django
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka in a production environment
- Experience using AWS or another cloud provider
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
