Senior Technical Writer, Developer Documentation

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to lead the operational delivery of Omniverse's developer documentation. This role involves developing high-quality documentation systems, crafting information architecture, defining quality criteria, and incorporating advanced documentation techniques. The successful candidate will mentor the team on modern DocOps practices, make strategic decisions on tooling, and ensure documentation empowers self-service developer success, ultimately shaping how thousands of developers experience Omniverse.

Must Have

• Lead operational execution of documentation strategy
• Craft and maintain information architecture for the entire Omniverse documentation ecosystem
• Establish documentation quality standards, style guides, and guidelines
• Build content models and patterns optimized for both developer consumption and AI readiness
• Mentor documentation team on information architecture, content strategy, and modern documentation practices
• Make strategic decisions on documentation tooling, infrastructure, and workflows
• Define and track documentation efficiency metrics
• Partner with Manager on strategic direction while owning day-to-day technical leadership, operational decisions, and multi-functional influence
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
• 12+ years in developer documentation
• 5+ years developing or revamping documentation systems at scale
• Deep expertise in modern DocOps practices, information architecture, and docs-as-code workflows
• Proven ability to build and maintain complex content structures serving multiple audiences
• Technical depth to understand complex systems (SDKs, APIs, platform architectures)
• Experience influencing without authority in matrix organizations
• Establishing standards adopted across multi-team environments
• Leading through technical expertise

• Background at companies known for excellent developer documentation (Stripe, Atlassian, Twilio, MongoDB)
• Experience with graphics, simulation, robotics, or real-time systems documentation
• Familiarity with USD, OpenGL, or similar technologies

• Established presence in technical writing community through conference talks, blog posts, or open source contributions

Drive the operational delivery of Omniverse's developer documentation plan. You will bring extensive DocOps skills to develop high-quality documentation systems that boost ISV adoption throughout our platform. Partnering with the Documentation Director, you will transform strategic goals into tangible results by crafting information architecture, defining quality criteria, and incorporating advanced documentation techniques into NVIDIA. We need someone who has developed documentation systems at scale before and understands "what good looks like." You'll lead day-to-day documentation operations, mentor the team on modern DocOps practices, and ensure our documentation empowers self-service developer success. Your expertise will build how thousands of developers experience Omniverse.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead operational execution of documentation strategy, crafting and maintaining information architecture for the entire Omniverse documentation ecosystem serving 400+ engineers
• Establish documentation quality standards, style guides, and guidelines based on industry expertise and modern DocOps methodologies
• Build content models and patterns optimized for both developer consumption and AI readiness, structuring documentation for LLM integration and future agent capabilities
• Mentor documentation team on information architecture, content strategy, and modern documentation practices while encouraging craft excellence
• Make strategic decisions on documentation tooling, infrastructure, and workflows that enable scale across distributed contributors (Product, Engineering, CS, PMM or equivalent experience)
• Define and track documentation efficiency metrics (time-to-first-success, support deflection, developer happiness) to drive continuous improvement
• Partner with Manager on strategic direction while owning day-to-day technical leadership, operational decisions, and multi-functional influence

What we need to see:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) combined with 12+ years in developer documentation and 5+ years developing or revamping documentation systems at scale
• Deep expertise in modern DocOps practices, information architecture, and docs-as-code workflows—you've "done this before" and can bring industry guidelines to NVIDIA
• Proven ability to build and maintain complex content structures serving multiple audiences, with portfolio demonstrating documentation systems you've built or transformed
• Technical depth to understand complex systems (SDKs, APIs, platform architectures) and engage credibly with engineering teams without requiring production coding skills
• Experience influencing without authority in matrix organizations, establishing standards adopted across multi-team environments, and leading through technical expertise

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 168,000 USD - 270,250 USD.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
