Must Have
- Develop code for software product development, including design, development, and testing.
- Highly skilled in programming for both development and testing.

- Comfortable with Agile development and rapid prototyping.
- Interface with internal customers for requirements analysis.
- Troubleshoot software problems of limited difficulty.
- 3-6 years of programming experience in C#, Python, or C++.
- Knowledge of multithreading and Inter Process Communication techniques (WCF, gRPC, REST).
- Ability to work independently and show agility in assignments.
- Possess design thinking and ability to create proper designs for requirements.
- End-to-end delivery ownership, technically sound, and able to implement the right solution.
- Break down high-level tasks into multiple sub-tasks and follow proper coding standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders in other regions.
- Strong analytical, oral, written communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with strong fundamentals in Software Engineering.
Good to Have
- Knowledge in Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
- Production debugging experience.

As a Software Engineer at Applied Materials, you’ll dive deep into ground-breaking technologies—like machine learning and AI—to craft novel software solutions that solve our customers’ high-value problems. Our Software Engineers are responsible for designing, prototyping, developing, and debugging software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices to ensure quality and functionality. You'll develop software documentation and test procedures, troubleshoot software problems, and communicate with internal customers to understand project requirements. As part of our team, you'll contribute your expertise in intricate systems, deciphering code, and anticipating software behaviors to ensure Applied remains the leader in the semiconductor and display sectors.

Roles and Responsibility
Software development Engineer in a Developer role in a software product engineering group.
- Develop code for software product development. Involved in every step of software development- Design, development, testing.
- Highly skilled in programming with both development and testing.

Our Ideal Candidate
- Experience level – 3 - 6 years.
- Extensive and expert programming experience in at least one general programming language (e.g. C#, Python, C++) & tech stack to write maintainable, scalable, unit-tested code.
- Knowledge in multithreading, Inter Process Communication techniques like WCF, gRPC, REST.
- Knowledge in Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 will be an added advantage.
- Production debugging is a plus.
- Ability to work independently.
