Job Summary

Our client is a UK subsidiary of a global financial house working in multiple markets and asset classes. We are looking for a Lead FIS Intellimatch Developer to maintain and enhance existing systems and develop new ones for business requirements. The role involves working closely with operations heads and SMEs as a senior analyst and programmer. Responsibilities include enhancing Intellimatch reconciliations, ensuring smooth running of business-critical applications like Broadridge Gloss, TLM/Sentry, and Message Automation, and supporting critical projects. Strong communication and project management skills are essential for this long-term BAU role with work-from-office/home flexibility.

Must Have

  • 10+ years of Reconciliation development experience using the Intellimatch system.
  • Sound Business Knowledge: Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives.
  • Application development with FIS Intellimatch or equivalent platforms.
  • Minimum of 5-years experience as an IT engineer/developer for business applications within financial services.
  • Awareness of IT control such as service level management, cyber security assessment, change management.

Good to Have

  • Knowledge on Software Development lifecycle in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Able to analyse business and technical data with Excel or Access without any support.
  • Able to understand and create SQL scripts and shell scripts.
  • Able to learn both IT and business subjects quickly and apply them to day to day work.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platforms such as AWS and Azure, or equivalent broad knowledge.
  • Establishing or providing service level agreement and periodic performance report based on the agreement.

Our client is a UK subsidiary of a global financial house working in multiple markets and asset classes.

We are currently looking to backfill a Lead FIS Intellimatch Developer role on the team. Successful candidate will work in the technology team within Operations for EMEA. The role is for maintenance and enhancement of existing systems, and development of new systems to support business requirements.

The candidate will work closely with the heads of operations departments and SMEs, operating as a senior analyst and programmer to support system development and implementation. They will be responsible for the production of various project elements including but not limited to; Analysis, Business Requirements, Design Documents, Application Programs, Test Scripts and Test Plans. The end solutions should be consistent with the design and implementation of existing solutions and reuse existing components where relevant.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. The candidate must have a well-organized and structured approach to managing small/medium projects and working with senior stakeholders.

The role is a long term BAU role and allows for work from office/work from home flexibility.

##### Responsibilities

  • Working as Intellimatch consultant.
  • Enhance Intellimatch reconciliations, implementing the reconciliations in production environment and ensuring smooth running of these reconciliations.
  • Ensuring smooth running of business critical applications (Broadridge Gloss settlement application, TLM/Sentry Collateral management application, Message Automation regulatory application) used by Operations teams.
  • Development and setup of various jobs in Control M across several applications.
  • Ensuring batches are finished on time and applications are available to end users on time.
  • Supporting critical projects during development and testing phase.

Must have

  • 10+ years of Reconciliation development experience using the Intellimatch system.
  • Strong Problem Solving skills
  • Sound Business Knowledge. Ideally: Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives.
  • Able to understand technical specifications and discuss with technology teams and external IT service providers.
  • Able to collaborate with other teams/departments in the organization globally to achieve business stakeholders' goals.
  • Able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance.
  • Problem solving as well as excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Analytical and debugging skills to find out issue, root cause and discuss possible solution.
  • Meticulous documentation skills with a drive to produce high quality deliverables.
  • Awareness of the structure, skills and business environment of a financial services organisation.
  • Holistic approach to IT control such as service level management, cyber security assessment, change management
