We are currently seeking a Senior Test & Metrology Engineer who will be responsible for managing a team of local Test & Metrology Engineers (4 direct reports) to be responsible for test planning, supervising/developing local testers, create test scenarios and do hands on testing to ensure the smooth progress of the test work related to development of our cloud-based flow cytometry data analysis platform.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Daily management of the test team and projects with moderate resource requirement, risk, and complexity
- Standardize testing methods/processes and improve testing efficiency through continuous problem solving and improvement process
- Design manual, automated, and exploratory test scenarios that ensure requirements are fulfilled
- Develop automated test scripts for web application including web page and REST APIs
- Attend virtual cross-site project meetings for collaboration and coordination
The required qualifications for the job include:
- Lead the team to solve complex problems using sophisticated analytical thought and a broad perspective to exercise judgment and justify innovative solutions
- Experienced in test analysis, test scenario design, troubleshooting, and problem-solving, with expertise in creating comprehensive test plans, cases, schedules, and other quality assurance work products
- Proficient in one or more of these programming languages: Java, Groovy, Python
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JMeter, Postman, Katalon (or similar test frameworks), and over 3 years of automated testing for web-based applications, with a balanced mix of automating both UI and API components.
- Experienced with Amazon Web Services (AWS) including CloudWatch, S3, Batch, and Lambdas
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Bachelor's degree with 10-13 years’ experience/ Masters or Advanced degree with 8 -10 years’ experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 3+ year’ to team management
- Experienced in automation framework development and optimization
- Experience in integrating automated tests into deployment pipeline, such as CI and Jenkins
