Job Description

Nissan is seeking a Quality Manufacturing Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 at Smyrna Vehicle Assembly in Smyrna, TN. This role involves supporting New Model Trial activities, collaborating cross-functionally to analyze processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and contributing to efficiency initiatives within Vehicle Quality Engineering (VQE). The intern will also prepare reports, presentations, and assist with daily VQE tasks to drive innovation and enhance quality.

Must Have:
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Engineering
  • Valid driver's license
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Ability to perform work onsite at Smyrna, TN, onsite M-F
  • Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident

We are currently looking for a Quality Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our team at Smyrna Vehicle Assembly in Smyrna, TN.

During the course of your internship, you will have the chance to:

  • Support New Model Trial activities within Vehicle Quality Engineering.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to analyze processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to efficiency initiatives aimed at optimizing VQE operations.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project status and outcomes.
  • Assist with daily VQE tasks and contribute to ongoing quality initiatives.

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Engineering- mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics preferred
  • AutoCAD or SolidWorks is highly preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and ability to multi-task with day-to-day priorities
  • Great communication skills both written and oral
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Access, etc.
  • Ability to perform work onsite at Smyrna, TN, onsite M-F
  • Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident
