Job Description

Triband is expanding its live games and seeking an experienced Vector Graphics Artist. The role involves working in a small, tight-knit team to design, create, and implement in-game 2D art assets using Unity. Responsibilities include creating vector-based art, collaborating with the art director, designers, and programmers, and ensuring visual consistency and charm. The artist will design characters, environments, props, and UI elements, iterate quickly on ideas, and support all art-related areas.
Must have:
  • Design, create, and implement in-game 2D vector art assets in Unity.
  • Collaborate with game director, designers, and programmers on 2D art.
  • Create vector-based art assets for a live service game.
  • Ensure visual consistency, fun, and charm in game visuals.
  • Design simple, bold, and readable characters, environments, props, and UI elements.
  • Iterate quickly on ideas and experiment with visual approaches.
  • Ensure adherence to the established artistic vision.
  • Design, build, and iterate on Unity UI layouts.
  • Support the project and team in all art-related areas.
  • Estimate and plan art-related tasks.
  • Strong vector illustration skills (Illustrator, Affinity Designer).
  • Ability to adapt to a defined visual style.
  • 5+ years of experience making art for games or interactive projects.
  • Extensive Unity experience.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Currently based in the Greater Copenhagen area.
  • Thrive in taking ownership and implementing creative solutions.
  • Motivated by collaboration, mutual respect, inclusiveness, and creativity.
  • Experience with team production tools like Git, branching, stand-ups, sprints, and reviews.
Good to have:
  • Animation chops (2D rigs, sprite animations, or After Effects/Spine).

Triband is the award-winning studio behind the WHAT THE? comedy game series, which is played by millions worldwide. From our home in central Copenhagen, more than 45 wonderful humans are united by a simple mission: to make everyone laugh.

We're expanding our live games and seeking an experienced Vector Graphics Artist.

What you will do

You will be part of a small, tight-knit team, working closely with the game director, game designers, and gameplay programmers to design, create, and implement in-game 2D art assets.

We all work in Unity, with every team member hands-on in the editor.

Main responsibilities

  • Create vector-based art assets for an existing live service game with a style inspired by classic Flash games.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, programmers, and our art director to keep the game’s visuals consistent, fun, and charming.
  • Design and deliver characters, environments, props, and UI elements that are simple, bold, and readable.
  • Iterate quickly on ideas and help us experiment with different visual approaches.
  • Bring creativity into every asset you create.
  • Ensure the game adheres to the established artistic vision
  • Design, build, and iterate on Unity UI layouts
  • Support the project and team in all art-related areas
  • Estimation and planning of art-related tasks

About You

  • You’re passionate about vector art and love working with Adobe Illustrator or similar tools
  • You have a good eye for simplicity, clarity, and strong shapes
  • You enjoy working in small cross-disciplinary teams and are open to feedback and iteration
  • You’re pragmatic, creative, and not afraid to try silly ideas
  • You like games (bonus points if you remember your Flash game favorites)

Requirements

  • Currently based in the Greater Copenhagen area (no relocation).
  • Strong vector illustration skills (Illustrator, Affinity Designer, or similar).
  • Ability to adapt to a defined visual style.
  • 5+ years of experience making art for games or interactive projects.
  • Extensive Unity experience
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • A passion for games!

Bonus Points for
